I fainted this morning!

I had to get labs done and I was stuck twice. I woke up sweating and light headed after the second one. Still feel light headed. I stuck around for a third stick and they found a vein. I always have had issues with giving blood. That was the second time in my life I have ever fainted. I did once when I was young and had a cyst on my ovary and someone grabbed my stomach to tickle me and the pain made me pass out.

Wow Ruby, hope you are alright...maybe drink some OJ and have a cookie to get your blood sugar up might help.  Did you eat breakfast this morning?  Hope you feel better. smile

It's a weird sensation, isn't it? I can't give blood either, I've fainted before and it always makes me light headed, enough that I can't just have a cookie and juice and go on with my day. One time after I gave blood, I was standing at the cookie counter filling something out, and the next thing I knew I was staring at the ceiling. Apparently I fainted, but my legs locked, and I just slumped over the counter without falling down. They had to lay me down.

Can't say that I have fainted. I have knocked my head around before. A concussion or two. Maybe three. I don't remember.

Fainted, only once... I was a kid at the time, maybe 12 years old. I got home from school and was going upstairs to my bedroom when a man with a bandana over his face stepped in front of me at the top of the steps and pointed a gun in my face. I saw the gun and out went the lights and I crashed down the steps into the wall. Turns out it was just my brother trying to be funny with a very realistic looking toy gun. When I came back around I ripped him a new one... the gun in the face joke is not funny when you grow up in a house with psycho dad.

Otherwise, I have actually blacked out from intense pain a few times.

I still feel light headed and loopy. One of the girls checked my sugar and was normal. I am too busy to go home too.

I only fainted once and that was because I wanted to.  I squatted for 60 seconds breathing deeply, then stood up while holding my breath.  I came to with my tailbone hurting.  Never wanted to faint again. 
I don't have a prob. giving blood.  I get up from the table and just walk away despite how they try to get me to eat, drink and sit merrily.
