my son spent his first night in jail for underage drinking. He was not even drinking, but with some boys that were. STOOPID kid. But I admit I drank when I was 17, just never got caught. Obviously not going to work, have a bond hearing at 1:30.
Dang, Ruby. That sucks. I truly wish I didn't kind of know how disappointed and worried you are, but I do. At least he wasn't drinking himself. That is something to be grateful for.
Cold and very windy Friday here, apparently we will get some snow today and tomorrow. I'm glad I'm only working half a day today... just wish I didn't have to drag it to the office.

Oh man Ruby. It's his first offense and he wasn't drinking himself, so hopefully the worst that will happen is that he'll learn a lesson. Perhaps a dose of Real World will wake him up a bit.
I'm not looking forward to a customer that's coming in this morning. He had a difficult order that he wanted done by this morning that our supplier thought they could get done, but the order proved more difficult than they expected. I had to call him right before I left yesterday telling him it wouldn't be ready. So then he called our supplier! I really like this supplier, they are so nice, I hope he didn't ruin our relationship with him. This is the same customer that I've complained about in the past (the one I hit in the head with a banner pole). If it were up to me, we wouldn't do business with him anymore.
I also didn't pick up coffee on the way in. What was I thinking?
thanks for the support. I am frustrated and need to head out. One of my good friends is a cop and I am going to meet with her. Apparently the beer was stolen and we are looking at a felony. They do not care about who was drinking or who the thief... I can't seem to get any information via the phone since he is 17, so I am out to show my ass.
Oh, man! I got your message, but not until around 2:30 this morning. You know I feel for you right now. I'll send out a prayer for you and your family.

I put in my 2 weeks notice at the bank last night. the job ended up being just too tedious after 8 hrs at my full time job. they understand, and encouraged me to look for other things at the bank- mail room, vault room, where its a bit more variety and more on my feet- the manager said she'd reference me, so that's cool.
The extra money is nice, but so too are nice quiet relaxing evenings by the grill....
which it sounds like won't happen very soon, we're supposed to get 6-10 inches of snow they say this weekend.....

Now now Ruby. Showing your ass may land you in jail right next to him.
Still, it feels like you are showing your ass when you are having to deal with stuff like this. Believe me... thanks to my oldest, I'm pretty sure The Honorable Judge John Anderson III of the 10th Judicial District Court in Johnson County, KS has not only seen my ass, but probably has a framed picture of it.

Hey JD...I like the vault...maybe they'd let you sample some of their wares in there!
yea. this was only 54 tho. I think a large part of it has been we went from cut hours at the main job, to ABSOLUTELY NO OT back to 40. well the work load never changed at my desk throughout it all. its been all go go go go go. too much.

Ruby, sorry to hear about your son. Hopefully this will be the wake-up call that he needs. Sorry it's causing you heartache though.
I can't believe how much faster my computer has been running now that I'm down to bare bones on the hard drive! The last time it worked this great was back when I first bought it, so I'm definitely going to buy an external hard drive to permanently keep most of my files on.
JD, at least you gave the 2nd job a fair shot. Maybe something that kept you more active would work better if you decide to try it again. Then too, with warmer weather coming, you might want to stick to just your daytime job during the summer months.

lol yea. I never really got sick before this job. In 4 months, I've had 3 colds and one bought of flu. But now I just might be suffering from spring fever....
