I picked up the new Fastball Album today...One of my favorite bands.
This is the Band that played "The Way" about 10 years ago. They hadn't released an album in about 5 years. They had actually gone on to solo careers in the interim.
They still have the trademark harmonies and melodic pop hooks and the songwriting for this album is very strong. Tony Scalzo has always been the stronger of the groups two song writers, but Miles Zuniga has turned in some very catchy work as well.
Out of 12 tracks, 10 are truly the type of songs you want to sing along with right away. The other two tracks werent as strong...so overall I would give this album a B+.
I hope they tour to support this album...I would like to see their performance live.
Liked them well enough, but never got into them. Always up for hearing new albums, though.

I really liked The Way...is the music like that???
The Way was a phenomenal song...this new album just has a more polished feel about it...all power pop songs you can sing to even as you are listening to them the first time.
Bouncy melodies with good two part harmonies... kind of Lennon-McCartney-ish.
If you liked the Way, you will probably like this album SG.
