I used to watch the Muppet show all the time, I loved em', but I don't recall these songs they did alone like that.


I just remember when they'd join in with a famous guest on one of their classic songs.

This song was from Jim Henson and the Muppets were first coming into the spot-light. They did Muhnumuna on Ed Sullivan, must have been '67-68 (I saw it in reruns) and the crowd just freaked at how odd and funny the whole thing was- a classic! I remember it was muppet cows singing the "DO DO DODODO" part, and the little guy singing it was part animal, part grover, part gonzo. brilliant!

I remember seeing this skit on Sesame Street with a bearded shipwrecked muppet and two pretty girl muppets on an island with a palm tree. Ok...now I just scared myself when I said pretty girl muppets.

lol I caught myself singing this at work today too! When this first aired on Ed Sullivan, that little muppet guy was all over the stage going "MUNAMANA!!" I bet this is why the sound bounces speaker to speaker! He was under the cows going "MUNAMANA!", yelling at the back of the stage "MUNAMANA!!", then he'd duck and pop his head right in front of the camera "MUNAMANA!!"
