Do you have filters seperating songs with same titles? Just for fun I requested U2's One and Three Dog Night's One. U2 played but Three Dog Night is not on the rotation yet. Just curious.
No, there is no such filter. I see that the Three Dog Night song is stuck in the request que, so more than likely we played three dog night in the last four hours. For some reason it will occassionaly accept a request even though it can't play it because of the rules we set. A lot of times I'll find four or five songs from the same artist stuck in the cue, because someone tried requesting them all.
I don't know how that happens, because my experience has been that if I request a song that can't be played the system tells me that and never puts it in the cue.
At any rate, I'll move the Three Dog Night song into the playlist so it will play shortly.
Jeremy, could it be that different people requested the same artist before the first requested song by that artist has been played? I've seen where I request a song and it is accepted, but then soon another song by that artist is played as requested by someone else, and my request languishes for quite a while, but does eventually get played. If I had tried to request that artist after the first song had played, instead of just before it, I would've been rejected.
Exactly MzHartz! Glad to see I wasn;t the only one who noticed that.
ray925, hold on! Fight that urge! If you feel the need to request a hot teeny-bopper, try some Debbie Gibson, although I don;t believe she is as surgically enhanced as Brittney....
Jeremy, I just tried requesting two songs by the same artist at the same time - The Muppets - and the system let me. So, if our Brittney lover comes along, and Brittney hasn;t been played in a while, he/she can go right down the list and request every Brittney song and the system will let him/her, subject to the overall max per 30 minutes that you have set. I assume the first one will play rather soon, and the rest will sit in the queue for a while and then get played.
