Nothing special for today...normal Friday, but tonite I'll be at the Amway Arena for the Magic vs. Centics NBA Playoff game..... can't wait!

Good morning and happy Friday, all! I woke up at 4:30AM thanks to thunder shaking the house. All that seems to have finally settled down a bit. Glad that I mowed the lawn last night. smile.gif

OOPS... spoke too soon. Just as I was about to post, the thunder started up again.

so very happy it's Friday!
I've stayed up late 2 nights this wk to watch late hockey games. We managed a win last night so it was worth it but yawn

We thought my father-in-law was gonna be out of the hospital for the weekend but they decided they were gonna keep him to keep cleaning out the infection. Monday he has some tests scheduled.

TGIF!!

Brian left for Chicago yesterday for his best friend's bachelor party. He won't be back until Sunday. So I've got the house to myself this weekend, at least for the time I'm there. I was going to go camping with the neighbors, but there's supposed to be thunderstorms tonight. I'm not afraid of thunderstorms, but I don't want to be out in a tent during one. Saturday looks dry though, so maybe we'll just skip tonight and go tomorrow.

Brian just called. We knew we were doing an usher/ maitre d type thing for his friend's wedding. His friend asked if he would get a suit like the best man's, and Brian called me to see if the expense was okay. Heck yeah! I've never seen my husband in a suit, I'll be more than happy to pay the cost of renting one!

oh hello nerd.gif

got a call at 7 am from my grandma's health monitor place. she called an ambulance to take her to the hospital because her stomach hurt.
my aunt and uncle are on vacation, so they weren't there to take her.
but I talked to my folks and they are going to the hospital to see whats going on.

just checking in... been in a funk the past couple days. 16 year olds suck! this mother's day perhaps i should apologize to my mother, as it is certain that i am paying for my raising...

I forgot what it was like to wear a pair of sunglasses. The sun has made an appearance this morning. We have had nine straight days with rain. Thankfully, not every day has been heavy rain. They are giving us some sunshine today before the rain rolls in later this evening and more tomorrow. I'll take the sun I can get. The clouds have pretty much rolled in but it seems there still may be a little sunshine out there.

And you guys had all heavy rain, didn't you? We maybe had two days of heavy rain, spread out. The creeks and rivers are pretty high, but have a bit of a chance to receed between yesterday afternoon and before the rain tonight. It is supposed to be warm today 75ish.

I got the old John Deere ready to mow. Oil and filter is changed and the blades are sharpened up. It started right up. Now after lunch I'll get to go around, and around, and around.

I asked a lawn service guy to come spray my acre of weeds a couple weeks ago but haven't seen him yet.
