The Apparantly If I Don't Start It Nobody Else Will Sunday Thread

I knew the forum was turning into a graveyard (no thanks to myself since I've only posted in here about 5 times this week) but holy guacamole Batman!  I had to break in through the boarded up door and remove the abandoned sign to get in here today hmm.gif

Sunday, Sunday, Sunday.  Mothers Day.  So what's happening?

As for me, I've got a fairly full day.  Erica & I are going over to Mom's to give her our Mothers Day gifts.

We went in together on it because it's a bit bigger than we'd normally give, but we got her two nights at a Radisson Inn up in Green Bay next to the casino.  Watching my Grandmother with the Alzheimers the last six months has really stressed her out and she needs a break.

My Mom has this thing she's done for as long as I can remember where anytime she gets a dollar bill that has a "J" on it (you know, the series they stamp on each bill) she gives it to me as a "lucky dollar" and if it has an "E" on it she gives it to Erica.

So we thought it would be fun to save up all the "L"s we came across and give it to her for her trip.  We wound up with 400 of em'!!!  So I'm really excited to give her the box of cash.

Then I'll be watching grandma so Erica & my Mom can go to the Brewers game and watch the crew sweep the Cubbies outta town (Hey Ruby? nana.gif)

After that it's dinner with the four of us and then work tonight.

YAY!  Fun day!

Oh yeah, and right now I'm heading out to check on a few apartments.  Like I said earlier in the week I think I know which one I'm moving into, but I want to spend some time checking out the area's of a few others.  It's very important to me that my neighborhood not be filled with scuzzies, so I'll just park and see what kind of folks seem to be milling about.

Ok, that's it.  Carry on!

And to all you mother's out there (that includes you Dylan), have a happy one!

Wow, such dedicated children. Well, my mom took off for a show downtown so, it was a short visit, kisses etc. Ms Squonk is still in NM with her mom. So, last night as the  bachelor. Might burn something in the chiminea (?) I didn't get to the stripe work. Just too nice out and too many other things distracting me. It's cool.
I guess I will just listen and see if JD is in.

Peace.smile

Hi all! Had a great weekend and Mother's Day.  We went to the zoo today then came home and had a cook-out......hot dogs, veggies, and a really good store bought potato salad that had bacon and cheddar cheese in it. lick.gif  My girls got me a really cool Insane Clown Posse t-shirt from their Dark Carnival collection along with a gift set from Bath & Body.  Now I'm ready to spend the rest of my Mother's Day chillin' out to JD's shows. biggrin

I had a good mom's day. Went to the zoo with my son Chris, his wife, their three kids, and my mom. smile.gif This was the first time my mom got to see her newest great-grandbaby. Chris's bio-mom & stepdad, half sister and 3 of her kids, and my grandson Walker were there too. First time my mom met them too, believe it or not. It was all really nice. My mom was a little freaked out that we all really do act just like one big family, even to the degree that Rose's kids (the half sister) call me "grandma" too. I'm pretty worn out. We did only half the zoo, but that is more than enough for one day.

Jeremy called me to wish me happy mother's day and to tell me about Walker's upcoming kindergarten graduation, AND to tell me he made me something for mother's day but didn't want to send it up with his bio-mom because he wants to see my reaction. I have no clue what it is, but I'm pretty excited.

I'll have to check Hot Topic. I don't know if we have a Busted Knuckles locally. Found an Ed Hardy that I fell in love with at Macy's a few months back... $200. I just couldn't make me spend it.

I think Busted Knuckle is only here; 2 brothers started the business up.  They cater mostly to cycle riders, but they carry goth style clothes too.  My eldest girl shops there more than Hot Topic.  Our Hot Topic has gotten more into Emo clothing and she won't wear Emo.

That is exactly why I didn't buy it. My choice was to either buy the one shirt or the 3 dresses I had already picked out. I needed the clothes for work much worse than I needed the super-cool shirt. Besides, now that I'm thinking about it I found some online stores that have Ed Hardy at much better rates than Macy's does.

I've bought a few pairs of shoes and boots from Hot Topic. Every now and again I buy stickers with crazy sayings on them for my desk at work.  I don't buy too much else in the way of clothing there because some of that stuff is way too weird or too young for me.

Missed the point. Shirts are only optional.

laughing.gif Ghost is right... for the ladies, shirts are not exactly optional in most places. Speaking of which, does anybody other than me think it is weird that you see signs at several businesses that say "No shirt, no shoes, no service!" Apparently they don't care about pants... weirdface.gif

When I was younger, I was told by someone that was older, "nothing is illegal, until you get arrested for it" It may have been Chuck.
