Since we all seem to be such big muppet fans: What was your favorite Muppet Show episode?
Since my name is Michelle, my favorite episode is the one with Michelle Pfeiffer in it. Animal keeps running after her yelling, "Mee-chell! Mee-chell!"
Mine is the episode where Kermit is trying to get Animal to give up alligator wrestling. He finally does and takes up bowling instead. Floyd the saxiphone player then tells Kermit, "You don't unserstand. Animal bowls overhand!"
My favorite episode was the one with Loretta Lynn. I love all the screaming babies when she sang "One's on the way". That was hillarious and I just love Loretta Lynn.

I have the Time Life series, my daughter and I watch them all the time. It doesn't have the one I remember most from childhood - there was a folkish female singer, and she was singing some eerie song and the stage looked like she was underwater with all these puppets floating around. Real bizarre and spooky, I remember that one best from childhood.
Now, my daughter's favorite is Alice Cooper. Followed closely by Elton John and Linda Ronstadt (although I think she just enjoyed the love triangle between her, Kermit and Miss Piggy). My favorite of our tapes is mostly definitely Carol Burnett - that one won an award, actually. Followed closely by John Cleese and Marty Feldman.
I find it fascinating how easy it is to see who can act with Muppets and who has a hard time relating to puppets with the 5' stage and people wandering about below them.
Did anyone else catch Muppets Tonight while it was on? Short lived, I don't think the Disney Channel gave it enough air time before cancelling it. It was essentially a new Muppet Show... I thought the skits were great and they had some great people on - Garth Brooks, Sandra Bullock... what a bummer it didn't last longer.
I think the episode your thinking of was with Crystal Gayle. She was singing on a ghost ship with ghostly muppets floating around. Yeah, kind of eerie but very cool that they did it with muppets. It really showed there talent as puppeteers.
Jeremy! Can you track down the Crystal Gayle tune? I think it referred to "Alpha Sentarie", but that iz a fuzzy memory.
Found the name! Kudos to Ray925 for the web site listed above. The song is "We Must Believe in Magic".
I do not know if I have one particular favorite show. I remember when I was younger waiting for the show to come on Sunday evening after dinner. There was nothing else on tv on Sunday. For my favorite character, I have to say that I do enjoy Animal, followed closely by the Swedish Chef and Beeker.

I remember Muppets Tonight. It was no where as good as the Muppet Show, and they had that furry guy being MC instead of kermit. I only got to catch a couple episodes before they cancelled it.
Thanks WFTR!! I couldn't remember who it was but that's exactly it - glad to know I didn't imagine it. I wish Time Life had decided to re-release more of the shows.
The thanks goes to Ray925, it's his recommended site that has all your muppet answers.
And, hey, its not muppets but it is 80's and from Time/Life. It's a series of CD called "Modern Rock" and its some of the best frindge music from that decade.
Has anyone else noticed that the only people who really love the 80's are those who grew up in them? Why doesn't our generation have more spill over appeal like the 50's or 60's? FFR fans are not in this group! We listen to ANYTHING!
