Cross-Country Grillout Tour!

I thought this FANTASY topic deserved it's own thread

You know J.D., if we could ever GROW this freakin' station, we could write off the whole trip as an advertising expense!

Drop off flyers everywhere we go.  Hit the little newspapers along the way trying to get a story planted.

And we'd be eatin' REEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAL GOOD courtesy of all our fine listeners

hey we could take them kids that did American Movie- they're right here in town- and have them film the whole thing. It would be one of them odd-ball americana movies that wins at Cannes!

anybody know of anyone with an old bus that still runs? I suppose I could head down to Sturtevant WI, if need be. Last time I was down there, it seemed like most people had broken down cars in their front yards and busses and disassembled RVS in their driveways!

(j/k.....its not most people, just like maybe 1/2 or 3/4s at most)

There's a nice RV for sale on my route J.D.

I think it was only $7000

I believe the Partridge Family has a bus for sale.  I don't think it's been driven for a few years.

I think you boys need to start thinking about corporate tie-ins.  Does one of the car makers want a new model shown-off?  Do the rental companies want some exposure witha pony express style run?

Hmmmmmm.

Wait a minute, why isn't JD doing the cross country grill thing on his way to New Orleans?  I think that would rock!

lol wftr- that MIGHT work! Riggs has a great idea that we start up a local flyer push like we did with the bookmarks and magnets last year. If we can get Bob's Record Shop and Lena's Quick-n-Go foods to carry our flyers and kick in for the tour, we might have enough gas money to make it from Milwaukee to Chicago! that is, provided the gas tank doesn't leak!

Aw Trish, I would do that but I am pretty much stuck on a train heading straight down from Milwaukee to Chicago to Memphis, through Mississippi to New Orleans for 19 hrs. The best I could do is toss out Freeze Frame flyers from the window of the train- but that'd be littering! And Amtrak discourages private grilling on board!
