lol I read a stat somewhere that said that twenty five percent of all printing will be digital color printing in six or seven years. How the hell is that gonna happen, the machines run like crap and are always breaking....

If it's only 25%, I believe that. When it comes to full color short runs, digital is still ideal. Granted, Fuzzy's on the right track, except shooting it would be too quick. I'd rather beat it with a baseball bat. But a 4 color press is overkill for 5 posters (the job I was running this morning).

I was going to originally ask you if you wanted me to hand you a baseball bat. I was thinking about that scene from Office Space. Want me to take it to the field for you?
PS - I'll load the gun just in case you need it.

That's my favorite scene. It feels good to be a gangsta.

Heres the stat from the December 2007 issue of Quick Printing-
"Did you know that there sere 3.5 trillion pages printed in North America in 2005, and only 10% of those pages where printed digitally? And only 4% of those digital pages were printed in color! But by 2015, the share of digital pages will grow to 25% and the number of color pages will contintue to grow. DIgital color printing is the fastest growing market."
Of course, sorry I misquoted the numbers in my post above...

I'm still cleaning and organizing out here in the shop trying to get ready for weekend garage sale. This is a good thing because this is something I was needing to do anyway. Now when the sale is over, it will be all nice, clean, and organized.
Good day, all. I'm finally here at the office. Sunny and a very muggy 72* right now. High near 80* and DS's heavy thunderstorms are supposed to be moving my way later today.
Not much going on here today. Its all pretty quiet. Maybe I can scoot out a little early and make it to my granddaughter's first T-ball game.

That means there will be room to hide the bodies, right Web?

Today is turning out to be a bad printer day. Now we're on a new job with variable data and a mail merge. They asked for my suggestion, I told them, and they didn't take it. Now I've been working most of the morning on making it work their way, and the printer won't do it. If they would've done it my way, sure it would've taken longer to print, but the thing would be friggin' printed by now.
