Holy s**t - found hanged. Wow - I thought for sure, it'd be lung cancer that killed him. He seemed so very unhealthy whenever I saw him at conventions.

The body of American actor David Carradine, best known for the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu," was found in a hotel room closet with a rope tied to his neck and genitals, and his death may have been caused by accidental suffocation, Thai police said Friday.

Police Lt. Gen. Worapong Chewprecha told reporters that Carradine was found with a rope tied around his genitals and another rope around his neck.

"The two ropes were tied together," he said. "It is unclear whether he committed suicide or not or he died of suffocation or heart failure."

Yeah... I had the same thought when he was found in a Bangkok hotel room with a rope around his neck. disbelief.gif Sounding like maybe he should have had that thought of "If I were to die right now, this is what is going to be all over the news."

It is kinda hard to not laugh about someone being found in that particular set of circumstances. Believe me... I'm laughing. I just feel kinda bad about it. Not REALLY bad... just like perhaps I added a couple days to my stay in Purgatory. Least of my offenses. laughing.gif

This story just gets sadder by the minute. What I heard on the news this morning is that his family is trying to suggest that it was foul play because he was investigating "underground Kung Fu clubs".

Yeah... sounded kind of weird to me, but that is what their spin is. They say that there were some pictures of him as he was found published in a Thai news paper that showed that his hands were bound in such a way that it could not have been suicide and that there are groups who were interested in keeping him quiet about "underground Kung Fu"... whatever that is.
