got earth wind and fire and buddy guy tonight at summerfest, then bob dylan and willie nelson tomorrow night. there's a weird weather pattern brewing over the lake, where they doubt it will hit 60 degrees today, but then by thursday back up near 78 degrees. gonna have to dress in fall clothes for 2 days....

Mornin'

I'm hanging around here at home for a bit longer waiting for the court house to open so I can renew the car and pickup's tags. They don't open until 9:00. Why did I wait until the last day of the month to do that?

Yeah, that was it . . . nothing like a trip to the DMV to brighten one's morning.

Actually it was painless. There were no other customers. I walked up to the window, handed the nice lady my papers, she gave me a total, I wrote a check, and left. There are a few advantages to living in a small town.

It also pays to drive old vehicles. Registrations for the pickup and van were $59.00 total.

Doesn't matter new or old for us. A vehicle registration is $37.50 every year. Of course the inspection will cost you about $75 every year.

You know, speaking of vehicle registrations, I don't remember if I renewed mine yet this year. I don't remember getting anything in the mail for it, which is unusual.
