Veteran actor Karl Malden, who won an Academy Award for his role in "A Streetcar Named Desire," has died at age 97, his manager said Wednesday. Malden also starred in the 1970s television crime drama "The Streets of San Francisco," along with Michael Douglas. Malden was the president of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences from 1989 to 1992.
