I will go with a very obvious baseball rivalry - New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox. Even if you are not a fan of these two teams, you pretty much know about it.
Being from Philadelphia, my football rivalry is the Philadelphia Eagles vs. Dallas Cowboys.
I guess in sports it really becomes about divisional opponents.

Oh star, how could you. I love both Cher and Tina. But it is Cher all the way. How do you beat an Oscar, Emmy Grammy winner? The only thing she does not have is the Tony, only because she never chose that venue. Tina--you wound me. And no I am not gay, Married with Children, infact took my daughters and wife to 6 Cher concerts withing the last three years. We just saw her final performance at the Hollywood Bowl. Unmatched. My daughters are bigger fans than I am. My seven year old's favorite is Dark Lady and my 12 year old loves Bang Bang. Tina--We don't need another hero. Cher--Believe
Don't get me wrong CP I love them both. I think I just like Tina because she is tougher! She's got that rich voice. I have Cher and Tina cd's. I just thought about it one day and came up w/ Tina but do you see the parallelism?
Back in the day when I still followed baseball, dem was FIGHTIN' words Star! I'm a hockey fan now - Go Blackhawks. Here's one! PLAY VS. LOCKOUT! (duh.)
I'm with you on the Looney Tunes and Sox. Have you ever played beer and inning? I did once in college. Don't remember much past the 7th after singing with Harry.
My daughters are and were fans of both Nsync and Back Street Boys. Having taken them to both concerts in the Nsync vs BSB, it is Backstreet all the way.
I gotta disagree with you Star on Tiffany vs. Debbie Gibson
It was Tiffany aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaall the way. Debbie was too much a goody two shoes, Tiffany was always wearing all that denim and looked like she knew how to have some fun
