You sounded pretty good to me, although it did sound a little full, like you pegging the meter still, but that could just be because I'm listenign through the crappy speaker in my PC tower (I don;t have speakers, and I don;t like using headphones).
Thanks DS! Yeah, the volume level definately shouldn't be a problem. But I'm speaking in a whisper. If I talk normal the sound breaks up pretty bad. there's also a lot of pop and hiss, but if you're not listening via headphones and I don't talk too long it may not be a big issue.
Of course it would help if I had a golden voice like JD.
On my end, your voice was crackling in parts. Not like Peter Brady - a technical thing.

Based on my speaker, you sounded better to me that time JR. Not as full, pretty good all around actually other than the popping that you acknowledged. You definitely sounded like you were on dry land as well, and not under water as you mentioned from an earlier time.
Personally, I think it's really cool to hear you on the air again. It really makes the experience that much more friendly and personal, for lack of better words, for the listener imho. It also takes me back to my days as a DJ on my college radio station and the fun I had there....
Yeah, I know that part of the reason we've lost listeners is the lack of direction but also lack of human voices other than Sunday nights.
If we have no DJ's then we're nothing more than the other hundreds of options out there. A jukebox essentially.
Truth is the station completely got away from me the last two years or so. Life got in the way a lot, but more than anything else it just morphed into something I barely recognized.
My childhood dream was always to own a record store and be a DJ. The internet gave us the ability to do the DJ thing, and while JD has really embraced it I guess I just forgot what made me love it in the first place.
When I was in NC there was one day where I went on air and did a deep cut day. Anyone could email me a request for a song that wasn't on our playlist and I'd pull it out and play it. That was the most fun I've ever had on air. Pulling out the CD's, finding the songs, playing em', talking a little between em. It was the ultimate DJ experience. I think that was the day I knew I wanted to eventually try to get back into this once things settled down for me. Hopefully it's not too late.
