It has been a crazy day! Pambo managed to get hooked up with a doctor who specializes in a surgery that might fix the nerve problem she has been struggling with for the last 4 1/2 years. He set up an appointment for her on Friday... the catch is that he is located in Trenton, MI.
Fair warning to the Detroit area peeps... will will be there sometime Thursday.
Hopefully this Dr. will be able to help.

Thanks for that! All the prayers she can get are a good thing. We are trying to get the plans all sorted out. Guess I need to talk with Richard tonight so we can get it all nailed down.

I passed along the thoughts and prayers to Pambo. She says she and her head both thank you. Also said when her head gets shaved you can come by and rub it for good luck. LOL!

Thanks! She went home early today. In anticipation of the possibility of surgery, she quit taking some of the meds that could cause bleeding issues. Poor woman was hurting pretty bad.
Should be an interesting trip... just found out one of my project implementations is now scheduled for Wednesday night / Thursday morning. Hopefully I will be in a good spot for mobile broadband when that comes up. LOL! I've been looking at the coverage maps.

Me too! She went to a support group meeting for people with her same condition. It seems like they are about 50/50 on the success of the surgical option she is looking into. Some doctors apparenty have higher success rates than others, which is why we are going all the way to Detroit to see this guy. He is apparently one of the top 3 surgeons in the country for this particular procedure.
We are really hoping this option works out for her. If she is not a good candidate for it or if she gets it done and it doesn't help, then there really aren't many options left to make the pain lessen or go away.

Hopefully having the best surgeon on the job will increase the odds of success even above that 50% mark. This is a really big deal for her . . . hoping and praying for success!
Oy vey! I believe I've got me all packed up. I triple checked my bag to make sure Eddie didn't again pack himself in there AGAIN. I'm going to miss my furry little freak.

Thanks! All in fact has gone well. We have a plan to move forward with getting her some relief through the MVD surgery. We also learned of some other options that are available. We all feel a lot more encouraged, particularly Pambo. It will be at least 2 weeks until the surgery can actually be done with having to get insurance approval and all, but it should be able to happen.
We will be heading back home in the morning... technically later today.
