One of my best friends is coming down to Bloomington this weekend. I'm excited, but I'm also nervous. Is my house clean enough? Will they be comfy enough on my air mattress? I hope they like the things I cook...
If they are truly one of your best friends, they won;t be concerned with how clean your house is or what you cook, they'll just want to see you, so try to stop worrying! Unless of course your house is also home to 6 live-in pigs, 3 cows, and a chicken, and for dinner you butcher one of the cows and make hamburgers...
Good morning, all. I slept for maybe a little over an hour this morning before the hotel guests woke me up. YAY. Oh well... all showered, dressed, repacked, and just about ready to get going again. Could really use some breakfast. Fortunately I did think ahead to bring some Diet Pepsi Max with me.
Hope everybody has a good day.

Yeah, I know Murs, but this is their first time in Bloomington, so I'm still nervous. And she's a semi-vegetarian, so that makes it a little more difficult to cook.
Mema, where did you guys end up staying last night?
Its a cool 50 degree morning. Fall is trying to push its way in.
Mrs Web made a big pan of buttermilk brownies, with sweet, chocolate frosting last night. This is one of my favorite things that she makes. Since we've been cutting back on that kind of thing, it has been a long time since I've had anything that sweet. Wow its as good as usual, but after not having much sweet stuff for so long, it was like brain sugar rather then brain freeze. That won't stop me though, I'll be the good husband and forge ahead and have more today.
hi all! I would just like to have some boring time, but life keeps giving me more stuff.
Working late, funeral homes, funerals, doctor, family reunions- ugh
JR- i had hoped to make it to the post office yesterday but my plans were foiled. I have not forgotten
quick update: Uncle Dewey who fell off that roof- he didn't regain movement of his legs. He only has tingly sensations :( FIL- the doc said his foot is healing from the inside but apparently it looks really bad and they are starting to doubt the dr.
Hugs to all!

No rush Woo. Whenever you get to it. I've set up another one for now and will be trying a new sound card in a few days. Some how, some way I'll figure out a combination that works hopefully.
Oh man, I wish JR wouldn't have gone to bed, this sounds like one of his rants.
I have my auto loan through CitiFinancial. Yesterday I got a call from a very nice customer service rep telling me my payment was late. I checked, and yep, I totally spaced making my payment. I gave him my debit card number and he made the payment right over the phone, smooth and easy.
Today I get a call at work from someone asking for my husband. It's a very rude customer service rep telling me my car payment was late. Any time I said something, I had to say, "hello?" or repeat it, I think she wasn't even listening to me. I told her I made a payment yesterday, and she doesn't say anything. I ask her if I need to find the confirmation number, and she doesn't say anything. I start shuffling through papers to find it, and I ask if she can see the payment I made yesterday. Finally she says yes, she sees that I made a payment yesterday. I say, "Oookay..." And she doesn't say anything! Finally she says, "Here's what I can do for you, I can put in a note that you made your payment," like it was a favor! And then she sighs loudly into the phone. WTF!?
Hello from Detroit... well technically Trenton. We got here about an hour ago and finally decided to quit laying around and try to see if we could get connected. We got a suite here since we decided to share one room. This room is like twice the size of the regular double rooms. I gather we are only about two miles from the clinic Pambo needs to go to in the morning.
Last night we stayed at the Pear Tree Inn (a Drury Hotel) in Terre Haute. It was pretty nice and fairly inexpensive.
The trip was not bad at all, and really the only creepy part of the trip was the US-24 leg through the last part of Indiana and the first part of Ohio. Its a 2 lane blacktop through what appears to be Children of the Corn country. Lots of weird statues and displays along the way.
