Sucky Saturday

OMG...I am the first up to start a thread. Hell must have frozen over. Actually some one not mentioning any names or anything set their alarm and it woke me up an hour before I had to be up. I thought this was cute and would share.

Subject:  Chemistry exam

HELL EXPLAINED BYCHEMISTRY STUDENT

The following is an actual question given on a University of Washington chemistry mid term.

The answer by one student was so 'profound' that the professor shared it with colleagues, via the Internet, which is, of course, is why we now have the pleasure

of enjoying it as well:

Bonus Question: Is Hell exothermic (gives off heat) or endothermic (absorbs heat)?

Most of the students wrote proofs of their beliefs using Boyle 's Law (gas cools when it expands and heats when it is compressed) or some variant.

One student, however, wrote the following:

First, we need to know how the mass of Hell is changing in time. So we need to know the rate at which souls are moving into Hell and the rate at which they are leaving. I think that we can safely assume that once a soul gets to Hell, it will not leave. Therefore, no souls are leaving. As for how many souls are entering Hell, let's look at the different religions that exist in the world today.

Most of these religions state that if you are not a member of their religion, you will go to Hell. Since there is more than one of these religions and since people do not belong to more than one religion, we can project that all souls go to Hell. With birth and death rates as they are, we can expect the number of souls in Hell to increase exponentially. Now, we look at the rate of change of the volume in Hell because Boyle 's Law states that in order for the temperature and pressure in Hell to stay the same, the volume of Hell has to expand proportionately as souls are added.

This gives two possibilities:

1. If Hell is expanding at a slower rate than the rate at which souls enter Hell, then the temperature and pressure in Hell will increase until all Hell breaks loose.

2. If Hell is expanding at a rate faster than the increase of souls in Hell, then the temperature and pressure will drop until Hell freezes over.

So which is it?

If we accept the postulate given to me by Teresa during my Freshman year that, 'It will be a cold day in Hell before I sleep with you,' and take into account the fact that I slept with her last night, then number two must be true, and thus I am sure that Hell is exothermic and has already frozen over! The corollary of this theory is that since Hell has frozen over, it follows that it is not accepting any more souls and is therefore, extinct......leaving only Heaven, thereby proving the existence of a divine being which explains why, last night, Teresa kept shouting 'Oh my God.'

The Huskers play on TV today.

That is about all that matters.

That's one of my favorites!

I'm pooped. I babysat for a 14 month old last night. On top of that, I haven't been sleeping very well. I think it's naptime.

Just lurking in...
I think Isaac and I will take a little trip west to the next town to visit my BFF.
Happy Saturday to everyone.

Good day all. I didn't notice it is already getting so late! I have to be at my grandson's birthday party at 3 and I have yet to go buy his present. This has been such a crazy week!

Getting myself together now to go to the store and on to the party. No, I actually haven't been lazy all day thus far... paid bills and then went for a walk with my neighbor while some potential buyers were looking at her house.

Hello e'body.

I went to the doctor yesterday for my ankle sprain. She told me to take off work until Wednesday night. I hope I heal up by then. They said the pain should subside about 48 hours after the injury occurred, but I'm at about 80 hours and still have trouble walking.

Today I'm doing my best to completely rest it and walk as little as possible. When I first get up in the morning it feels pretty good but then by the end of the day is painful, so I'm thinking one or two good days of aggravating it as little as possible might let the muscles heal up good. But I'm bored out of my mind in the meantime. hmm.gif

I hope everyone's having a great weekend. Probably one of the last warm ones we have left around these parts. smile.gif

Oh yeah, GO HUSKERS! GO PACKERS!

lurking by again...

ended up not going to see my friend; we'll go tomorrow.  i did defrost my freezer.  some of the stuff i discovered --  five frozen burritos -- guess jacob didn't care for them; probly a dozen ripe bananas --  never did get around to making banana bread; a rump roast and ribs from 2005 --  cooked that for dog food; and a set of deer scent glands --  i wonder if Mr. DS even remembers they're in there...

hope defrosting and cleaning it out didn't jinx him bringing home some elk meat  --  one more week...

I've never had elk meat. I suppose it's very similar to venison?

I've had elk jerky before. Its less flavorfull than regular beef jerky and 2x more flavorful than ostritch, in my opinion.

Wow, hell froze over.
Elk, Venison, Ostrich.
It's raining.
It's Sunday now, no longer Saturday. (I apologize)
Take care.

Elk is milder, not as gamey, as venison.
