Geez!  Its almost 5PM.

I have been much busier in this day than I ever intended. I was not going to leave the house at all, but then I found I needed a couple things I failed to get yesterday. On my way over to Home Depot to see about a new water filter for my fridge, I decided to stop by Best Buy to price a new XM Radio receiver since the one I have no longer receives a decent signal. I found that I could get one on clearance for $60!  So DEAL. Unfortunately, I had to drive to a different store to pick it up. This wasn't all bad because Home Depot didn't have the Food Saver bags that I also needed, so I was going to end up going back to Costco which is near the other Best Buy. smile.gif

So... I have set up my new XM receiver. Bummed that it doesn't have remote control, but it was cheap! I finished packaging up the stuff that I needed to stick in the freezer. Changed the water filter in the fridge... then settled down to watch football only to discover that the DirecTV receiver in my room no longer gets the NFL Sunday Ticket channels because it is "too old". Funny, it worked last year! Oh well... swapped the receiver in the family room for the one in my bedroom so now I can laze in complete comfort and watch the games. Guess I need to upgrade that old receiver, but I just don't feel like spending that money today. And now I need to do some laundry. hmm.gif

Ah well... hope everyone is having a good weekend.

I was pretty busy all day, so I'm first checking in now.

When I got home a couple hours ago I immediately set to working on the new station set up.  It's all done.  Well, the physical placement of the computer, cables, etc. is finished.

Tomorrow starts the work of rebuilding the playlist. 

Soon I head off to work, but I have tomorrow night off for the big Packer/ViQueens game.  clap.gif

Hi all! It was a lazy Sunday around here.  I spent the day playing Halo 3 on the Xbox 360 with my kids.  I didn't even cook today; leftover chicken and salads came to the rescue for dinner.  It was a nice break for a change. smile

Awww too bad you got Xbox and not PS3.  We coulda played against each other.

Webdude got the PS3 this weekend and he's all excited to get his butt kicked by me now.  smile.gif

hey continued luck with the updates riggs.

that sounds like a nice day mama.

you to sandy, sounds fun and enjoyable.smile

today we went to the west allis classic auto fest on greenfield avenue. It was a lot bigger than I expected. It was pretty sweet. We'll go earlier next year, we got there right as it was wrapping up. blocks and blocks of sweet cars!

got to grill out this evening too while the rain held off. not all that cold either. takin it while I can get it still.smile

I didn't buy it, it was given to us by a friend of our's.  Their boy said it didn't work, but we haven't had any problems at all with it.  I think the kid just wanted the Xbox Elite....his mom and dad have more money than they know what to do with.   Anyway, all I had to do was pick up a few games for it.  A free gaming system is good in my book. nod.gifbiggrinbiggrin

We were talking about going to a big car show this weekend but it rained all day yesterday and most of today too so that kind of squashed those plans. 

Glad you were able to grill out tonight JD.  smile

Thanks JD.  Tomorrow I finally return to the airwaves.  I'm pretty excited about it.  I managed to get the microphone tests in just before you took over and everything sounded good.

OH!  And an added benefit of the new set up is that I'm perfectly set up to record our broadcasts now.  I just have to make sure the software I bought is still in the system.  If it is, you're welcome to drop off a spindle of CD's if you want me to start burning your shows.

I'd like to save some too just in case we still wind up going off the air soon.  It would be nice to have some souvenirs of the station.

I saw that car show deal too.  It was a pain in the a** trying to cross Greenfield avenue today.

well sweet, please post when you are broadcasting live and I will certainly tune in, I always really liked listening to your shows. Oh and heck yea on the cds for recording. please let me know if thats up!
I got some of the shows from 2004 here & already they are a fun keepsake of a moment in time, so yea I would so dig that if its a go.smile

Yeah, the shows are really good tonight!  Was great to hear some 90s music on Underground......nice to change it up sometimes. smile

My oldest girl just told me she has to take an Economics test online tonight before 11:00 so it gets into her grade in the morning.  So I gotta get offline so she can do this. hmm
