Dovetails suggested this a little while ago over the weekend, but there were hardly any people online so it kind of flew under the radar.

He thought it would be a good idea to have an IM chat for the entire forum every once in awhile.

I agreed. I think it could be fun. It can be kind of like a cyber-mixer. If you want to attend that's great, if not, thats fine too. We'll have more in the future.

You can get yourself your wine, beer, or mixed drink, and mingle at the party!

So the first annual FFR Cyber-Mixer will take place on Wednesday evening at 8 PM CT.

That's 9 PM on the east coast and 6 PM on the west coast.

If you're around on Wednesday night, and want to partake in the fun, just IM me at liveon365 and I'll send you an invitation to the chat room.

Dress code is casual. Dates or spouses are welcome.

PS. Don't worry about the "annual" thing, we call EVERYTHING the "annual" event. In three years we've already had our 8'th annual FFR cookout.

Well, lets wait til tomorrow and see. It can always be moved to later in the week if no ones available.

I don't think we'll get a large turnout because most people don't tune in at home, so I'll try to have it on a night most people that are interested can actually attend.

I hope I have my home computer fixed by then.  A couple of weeks ago my IP address vanished.  No IP, no connection to the internet no home version of FFR.  I haven't been able to figure out how to get it back.  But today I have a college computer whiz stopping by to take a look.  I'm sure I'll be back in the loop tonight!

I don't hop on a lot at home and I work at the spa on Wednesday night, so I would at least be an hour late, and I'd have to convince my husband to let me be on the computer instead of spending time with him after I've worked all day.  That is, if I even want to spend time on the computer at that point.  So, I guess don't count on me this time, but maybe another...

My nights are always booked - half with the tyke, one for a billiard league, one for a ski club and the weekend to catch up on everything else. In fact, my only free time anymore is at work (but don't mention that to anyone, thanks)...

JD--I like JD neat with a diet coke--no ice on the side.  Extra tip in it for you if you lose the fancy bubble glasses that I ususally get it served in.  A plain shot glass is just fine.  I don't do the sipping thing.

Something that occurred to me as maybe being fun in the future is not just chat but meeting up on a Yahoo games playing field - maybe for a game of Texas Hold-em or something like that... where one of us holds a privaate table and as others log on they can be privately invited... then you can chat in the chat window while playing a game while we're at it!
