Sixteen Candles II !?!?!

I got up awful early this morning. I could not sleep at all last night. Anyway I read the whole paper this morning before 6:00 am. I read that Molly Ringwald has agreed to a script for Sixteen Candles II. The article stated that she has been approached over the years with different scripts. This one she says seems right. It also says that she has an 18 month old. Babies=$$$. That may too be why she is trying again. I have to say that that is one of my favorite 80s movies though. I try to watch it whenever TBS shows it!

I wouldn't put it past them to call it 40 Candles. Good for them that none of the characters turned into a Harrison Ford or Tom Hanks... they shouldn't have too much difficulty getting the entirety of the original cast - unless of course, someone's in rehab or some such.

good point! I best most of the original cast are tired of the current jobs as dishwashers and waiters, and would enjoy "getting back into the business". "You know, I really am an actor. Yea I was in 16 Candles, and can't wait to be in my next film!"

It's funny the actor that had one of the smallest parts in the movie actually did pretty well. John Cusaak.

MAN! I forgot Cusack was even in that movie! How funny... I'll have to rescind my earlier comment, he's no Hanks, but he's not chopped liver. However, after I read an interview with Savage Steve Holland (who directed the movie Better Off Dead), I was really disappointed to learn that Cusack absolutely HATED Savage's end result. I mean LOATHED it, and his take on the movie apparently devestated Savage. I think it's just desserts that it's become such a cult hit!

Joan Cusack was also in it and she did pretty well.  Anthony Michael Hall didn't do too badly, either.  The guy that played Long Duck Dong appeared in a few movies after that, but wasn't really big (remember Gung Ho?).
