Now I need a nap, except I'm listening to the news. They are talking about the what Fineman is doing as far as executive compensation for the TARP recipients. 90% cuts in cash compensation to the executives of certain companies and limits on corporate perks. Sounds nice but not ALL of the companies that got us into this mess are subject to these regulations, and for those that are it only applies for one year. Goldman Sachs and J.P. Morgan seem to be exempt AGAIN. What is the point?

Temps are falling in the Tulsa metro... windy and rainy.
This morning Isaac asks me how to count to twenty in Spanish, so I count for him and he says, "Maybe I'll start with five."
Then we move on to the subject of Halloween... This is a FYI courtesy of Isaac... If you encounter a ghost, don't put your hand through it. If you do put your hand through it, you must immediately wash your hand with hand sanitizer. If you don't wash your hand with hand sanitizer and put your finger in your mouth, you will DIE!

My boss isn't in this office. And the other big bosses are at an off-site meeting yesterday and today. Although the weather is supposed to be better today, one off day was good. I needed it. I was a busy girl. I slept in, mowed the lawn, sprayed around the outside of the house to keep the bugs out, talked to the neighbor, washed dishes, put laundry away, scrubbed the humidifier, put a few "summer" items away in storage, cleaned the kitchen and watched a few hours of recorded tv.

I heard sirens this morning and was wondering what may be going on.
I've now found out that lost a local teenager.
A family that used to live near a smaller town 20 miles away recently moved here because the lady is in bad health and needed to be close to doctors and the hospital. Their teenage son wanted to finish out high school back where he grew up so he was driving the 20 miles to school every day. He was somehow killed on the road this morning.
This poor lady, lost her son, and now blames herself because if they hadn't moved, he would not have been on the road this morning.
