YEE HAA Rock and Roll

We just had a 5.6 magnitude earthquake.  Let me tell you, Even after that shaker, I will still take the earthquakes over that hail dovetails had.  I lived through those storms in Milwaukee and you can have them.  My seven year old is pretty scared still, she won't come out from under the kitchen table.  (They train them to do that in school)  I just sat in the office watching things fall around me.  Pretty exciting especially if you remember the Northridge quake.  That was a 6.1 and all the freeways collapsed.

Rock and Roll.

CP-
holy crap!!!  I hope you are okay!  Do you have a lot of damage?  You don't seem too worried.  Hang in there tough guy.  Take care of the kids.  At least the computer is still working.

We have a few new cracks in the stucco on the house and my closet the bar things broke but no major damage.  I must be a seasoned Southern Californian, as I was just sitting there watching everything shake--called out to my daughters and watched the dog run around barking.  Its an alarming feeling.  The epicenter was 20 miles from where I live, so for us, the house shook good.

I saw on the news where a town in Wisconsin had a tornado yesterday.

Glad you guys are all right in So Cal, CP.  I'm afraid that I would suffer from a wardrobe malfunction if I was ever in one of those and I don't mean like the one that Janet Jackson had.    Hope your daughters are all right and not scared any more.  That has to be even more frightening for a child.  What about your dog?

O.K.  The reason I ask is because we had a really bad storm go through St. Louis last week and a tree went through the top of these people's house.  Anyway, the whole focus of the story was how it traumatized their dog.    Yeah, you read that right.  That was the angle.  We joked at breakfast after reading this that they probably had a standing appointment with the shrink because the dog is now suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome.

lol I had a boss who used to say to me, when I was working second shift "look, I know you see its all messed up today, don't hesitate to call me". I used to try with all my might not to call but one time I had no choice, I called at 10 pm. His comment "please don't call this late; you're upsetting the dog."

weasle.

I understand some people love their animals as much as kids, but there is a limit.  Of course, I'm not a pet person, so I guess maybe I don't understand.  I just don't have a driving need to have an animal.  I look at them and think "Oh, they're so cute, but they make such a mess and I really don't have time for one." and that's that.  Of course, there are people who say that about kids.  Eh...

trish - you have made 2 comments concerning pets, luv ya 4 it kid, if more people thought like you there wouldn't be a need for animal shelters. over the past few years ive had /have a total of 9 ferrets ,...only one came from the pet store...,now dont get me wrong , i love/loved them all , but still , i wish people would stop and think

more towns in wisconsin have tornadoes hit them that I've never heard of, until a tornado hits them. I think that will be my next trip- just a driving trip through wisconsin. I've seen too much freeway, not enough back-roads.

See, you can keep the tornado's.  I took my kids to Disneyland to calm them down.  They forgot all about it.

I heard about some twister sightings up around Indy yesterday, but I don't think any of them touched down.  It did rain a whole lot here, though.  I went to an art fair in Indy and got soaked!  It's springtime, the weather is going wacky!

Earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, hail, tsunamis.

And people wonder where my moniker comes from!  I'm not sayin', I'm just sayin'....
