Hi, everyone. Tomorrow is our last day of summer -- this time for real -- 72 forecasted for the Tulsa metro today; 69 tomorrow. Then we'll be more "seasonal".
My ma-in-law called me last night and asked if we wanted to do Thanksgiving at their place this year, and I said "Sure, that would be nice." Usually it's at our place, but she knows our situation right now, so that was nice.... Until... in the next breath, she said "OK. Then we'll do Christmas at your place..." Being that she is the matriarch, and I have not yet earned that status, I had to acquiesce.

Hi all! I have the day off and am spending it getting loads of laundry done. Why is it that every time I have a day off from work I have household chores to do??
My husband is leaving tomorrow morning for nine days to go deer hunting!! He's hunting in a new area this year. He's going up to my uncle's....he owns 1,600 acres. My husband said he'll have to use a compass to help him find his way back out of the woods. I have a very evil urge to run a magnet around his compass a few times so he can't find his way out. If he can't find his way out of the woods, he can't find his way home. I'm soooo bad!!
Beautiful day here in WI. Well, a beautiful day for mid-November anyway. It's starting to look like we might have a short winter.
I'm waiting on building maintenance again today. This is the fourth time in three months that they gave me notice they need to enter my new apartment. This time was the worst of all. They gave a four day window starting Tuesday at 9 and ending today at 5.
Of course they would wait until the end of the window to maximize the inconvenience to me.
I think a very strongly worded letter may find it's way into the envelope with the rent check at the end of the month.
It's all good though now that I see Ghost is here! HI GHOST!!! :wave: (if :wave: isn't an avatar it darn well should be!)
My oldest girl just told me that her boyfriend got a new job. That's great news for the kid, since his present employer has cut his hours and he only works 3 hours one day a week due to business being slow. So I asked her where he will be working. She said at the library....the same one she works at and some of the same hours she works.
Somehow this doesn't seem like a very good idea to me.
