thanks for posting these riggs. man. I so got to go live there. I've got a football helmet, I could survive a hurricane. And they have this drink called a hurricane too which helps you get through them.

LOL I just realized how much I love the pic of me and Leah! I am not a tall man- 5'9" in shoes. She's just tiny!

Star is right, JD.  You look nothing like I pictured you.  I was thinking little Italian looking guy.  I don't know why I thought that, maybe the avatar, but I did.  Anyway, that's blown away and now we know what the real you looks like. 


New Orleans does look beautiful.  My husband and I were watching tv the other night and I saw a thing on New Orleans and we both said at the same time "I would love to go there!"  The only problem is - neither one of us has the time.

trish go soon. take the vacation and go! Loiusiana is sinking into the ocean! They loose the size of a football field every 30 minutes or so! If a hurricane hits New Orleans, its SO DONE. All this wetland once served as a buffer. ITS GONE!

Yea that was day 3- I had too- I had a BIG BLISTER wrapped up in a couple of bandages from walking around in them too much. I "retired" them once I got home!

Is it the haircut or the 5 days growth beard? I can sort of see it, but not that much! I was skinny in high school and looked like anthony michael hall in 16 candles back then!

I have a buddy who received a blow up doll. Wow. This is 25 years ago now that I think about it. Five or six of his close friends, me included, pitched in to get one for his 21st birthday. We go into the local adult book store and buy a Blow Up Betty but when we got out to the car and checked her out we found out that Betty was actually Bob. We debated for about 5 minutes whether we should give him Bob instead. We didn't. We went back and got Betty.

Just want to reiterate tho:


New Orleans is really really a great place, and not the scummy place that I had heard it might be. While I am sure if you looked for scummy, you could find it- you do not need to concern yourself with it overwhelming you with its presence.


Stay in the French Quarter; there is so much to see and do there- sure its touristy; but the history is right there. It's sooo pedestrian friendly.


Don't go to Bourbon Street or Basin Street looking for jazz. Go to Frenchmen Street, which is just up from the French Market along The River. The exception of course would be Preservation Hall, just off of Bourbon Street, right next to Pat O;briens, where you should head for a hurricane anyhow.


I really recommend the Place de' Armes Hotel. Clean, quiet, great balcony views, clean pool, contenental breakfast, good setting, nice courtyard. In the middle of everything, yet an oasis too.


I can't wait to go back!

O.K., JD tried to divert this, but I have to comment.  The worst thing that I ever saw in one of those stores, not that I go there , was a blowup...SHEEP!  I don't get that.
