The SICK SICK banner ads that the host site for the station forum runs?? SHOOT YOUR CO-WORKERS, SHOOT THE COWBOY, SHOOT THE DUCK??? What the $*#?? They fall down, they bleed, crite almighty!

I wanted to see if the pop-up blocker was working for the station- its not- but my home one is. I can shoot whatever is up there and not have the annoying ads pop up. Yea he he slay the watermelons whatever; but the prevalence of things to repeatedly shoot is a bit disturbing.

That one day I popped on to the boards for a quick look and got a little freaked out.  I was in the midst of an e-mail fight (woohoo technology ) with my hubby (we're not allowed to have phone calls that often, but the e-mail is unregulated) and I look at the top of the boards and there are all of these ads for divorce lawyers.  I'm thinking, what the hell?  Is someone trying to tell me something?

Freaked me out too- we at the station did NOTHING outside of self-promotion for the New Orleans trip and all of a sudden there were New Orleans tourism ads popping up top. Wait. I bet if I send this, they'll return!! I bet there is some sort of key word trigger for these things....

You've got it JD.  Most banner ad setups do have a word trigger thing so that the ad is relevant to the content on the page so people are more likely to click on it. 


I always get worried when they start showing the DUI ads...
