What's On Tv Right Now?

Right now I am watching Absolute Evel Knievel on the History Channel.

Did anyone else have the Evel Knievel wind up motorcycle as a kid?

No, but I had a Yamaha 125 that got pretty banged up trying to do some of my own jumping.  I totaly abused that thing.  Last time I rode it and jumped, I broke the front fork.

Nope, didn't have that.  I had demon butch barbies from hell.  My sister would cut off all their hair (they looked really butch then, not that that was the purpose), I mean as close to the scalp as you can get it, and then she would give them "earrings" which were the pins with the colored balls at the end.  The only problem was, the ends of the pins that were the sharp part would stick out of their forehead and looked like devil horns.  It was awful.  Not one of my Barbie's survived my childhood unscathed.

I was an only child for most of my childhood, so my Barbies did come out basically unscathed.  I did have the Barbie house with the elevator, so I would put a doll in the elevator and yank on the cord, and Barbie would go flying!  That also worked with Shera and her castle...  And I had two cheap pseudo-Barbies whose heads could come off and you could put them back on, so I would switch their heads all the time.

I had that Evil Kneival toy - or maybe my brother did and I just played with it all the time... Now I always wonder how much my old toys would go for on Ebay... My old weeble wooble haunted house set goes for about $169 mint.

We were very creative children.  We got a Barbie knock off van for Christmas one year, but it didn't have the light in it like the REAL Barbie van, so we improvised.  It involved a lightning bug and a piece of tape...

Totally had that toy!  And I got it the same year that a Saturday cartoon called "Devlin" came out.  It was about a stunt jumper in a circus.  I had to have my Evil Kneivel toy with me when it came on.  And I'm with you JD, I totally scratched up our kitchen chairs with that thing.  I also Had a couple of SST's which were heavy car with one big wheel and a rip cord.  Those did furniture damage as well.
