Big Storm Tuesday

Yeah, we got nothing so far. biggrin.gif I'm thinking this one might not be a big deal for my area at all. Still a 90% chance of snow... we will see what happens. Right now it is 27* which is 2* warmer than it was all day yesterday.

Wonder if I have to work tonight? Its on my calendar...

Good day all.

I think we're going to get off easy compared to most of you. We're supposed to have rain today and high winds, only 40 mph. I say only, because tomorrow the temp is going to drop (still not as low as most) to around 20, but the winds will be 55+ mph. Ice and wind, yay!

I had to laugh when the weather guy on CBS said that he could predict almost as much or as little snow as he wants because it will be SO windy, nobody can accurately measure it!

SWEET! I'll have to see if I can tune in for that. smile.gif

We are supposed to have 25-35 MPH winds in KC. Doesn't really matter what the thermometer says either... the wind chill factor kind of negates any advances.

I'm home with the boy today. We have some snow, but school was called due to the forecast. If we get as much snow as predicted, and as much wind as predicted, its not going to be very nice.

Morning all. I can see the yucky weather will be affecting many of you. I think we are due to have rain roll in tonight and then through tomorrow. I don't think the temps are supposed to be too low. For now it is sunny and around 40*.

So it is now 3:45PM Central... I have a meeting maker on my calendar for midnight tonight to implement the project I was supposed to have implemented last week, but the Project Manager cancelled it because half of the people were not ready to go since he didn't do a good job of communicating and coordinating this effort. Since the cancellation last week/reschedule to this week, I have not heard a peep out of the PM in regard to this project. At 2PM I inquired with him as to whether tonight is a go or not.

PM's response was, "Far as I know we are a go for now."

Me, "Okay... and by when will you know for sure?"

PM, "We are a go until I hear otherwise."

Me, "Are you going to ask around?"

PM, "No."

disbelief.gif Why, oh why, do I have a feeling this is going to be an all night cluserfark?

Muck fest here in Milwaukee. The flakes are the size of my car and weigh half as much! Yuk.

Squonk, are you further inland than West Allis?  We're getting those annoying tiny snow flakes that actually sting a little when they hit you in the face.  it looks like it's snowing pretty hard, but it's not adding up to much on the ground.

Looking at the radar it looks like downtown is still basically rain or freezing rain.

This is gonna be an ugly mess.   I would have preferred 14 inches of a light fluffy snow to the 4 to 6 inches of wet cement I think we're gonna wind up with.
