Messy Sunday Morning Around MI

Good morning all.  I woke up to sleet and freezing rain this morning.  Joy, joy! cry They say by this afternoon it's supposed to change over to all rain, but they've been wrong many times before so we shall see.  Since it's pretty yucky out, I decided I'm going to get some of my holiday baking out of the way today.  Soon the house will smell like banana nut bread and sugar cookies. lick.gif

Hope all of you have a great day!! smile

Sandy, we usually get your weather 24 hours before you do...I feel your pain maam.

I bet your kitchen is going to smell heavenly today.  If you need help eating those cookies or banana bread... I am willing to help.  I give and I give.  smile.gif

Mornin' gang!

I'm up too early, now I'll have to take a nap before work. hmm.gif

I'm watching Meet The Press. Most of you know I'm very into politics but man oh man I have to say lately my patience has been wearing thin with BOTH sides of the isle in Washington.

Just ONCE I'd like to hear a politician admit something they wanted isn't working or that something the other side wanted IS working. Seems to me that every single year the two sides just dig in deeper and deeper and it becomes less about doing what's best for the country and more about making sure they maintain or regain power in Washington.

I have to say though I've been pleasantly surprised with David Gregory taking over MTP. I thought he'd have a tough time not showing his liberal bias (sorry, but he was always quite liberal in his reporting), but he's actually very fair since he took over this show. He asks hard questions, just like Russert did, and won't let his guest give a vague answer.

Saturday wasn't too bad. Until, it started drizzling. I grilled some ribs, had a fire in the chimanea(?) and an adult beverage. Later, we were supposed to stand by the fire and enjoy some spiked hot chocolate. Christmas music on the speakers, etc. Didn't happen. Went in and watch It's A Wonderful Life. Today, our niece is in a Christmas show. Some kind of Scandinavian celebration. Finishing the christmas card right now, I hope.

Good day, all. Cloudy and 41* here at the moment... a varitable heatwave. w00t.gif

A large part of my day will be spent at my granddaugher's birthday party. Hard to believe she is 7 already! Imagine the sheer joy of 24 shrieking kids in an indoor pool. Yeah... you know what I'm in for!

I spent last night getting myself up to date on wrapping Christmas presents since I had to wrap Miah's birthday presents anyway.

FIFTY YEARS?  WHADDYA THINK I AM, RICH!?!?!?!

I was thinking more like a back-loaded 100 years (to insure I'm dead when the big payouts are due)

I had the same problem.  First time I've lived in a typical apartment so I had no idea what to expect.  I bought a couple bags of candy and didn't have a single trick or treater come to the door.

And why so sensitive?  I was gonna say you went as Springsteen or Zevon or something.  WHAT were YOU thinking?  Jeez.  no.gif

That's actually a good point. A skeleton costume and you can be anybody you want to be.
