Anybody Up For A New Year's Eve Get-together Here On The Forum?

Since the holidays are fast approaching, and I know everybody gets busy, I wanted to throw a suggestion out there for New Year's Eve.  Last year there were quite a few of us forum members that spent the evening at home, tuned into FFR, with not much to do.  Would anybody be interested in having our own little New Year's Eve party here on the forum?  Not sure how we could work it, but I'm sure if we put our heads together we could come up with something that would be fun!  JR said last year that he thought about it doing a party of some type here, but time got away from him before he could come up with something.

Anyone interested??  Any ideas of what we could do??

well I know heather and I like to be in that evening- we'll probably do this Ireland new years eve thing at a bar near us....celebrate new years eve at 6 pm and get the hell out. :D soul food cookin and dinner and a nice quiet evening from the snot filled drunken masses. So I bet we can stop on by for a bit.smile

Far as I know I will be home and therefore around... "amature night" has no appeal for me.

We'll probably just be sitting around here watching the ball drop.

I'm not sure if I'll be around, but if I am I'll definitely be in.  I love New Years, but hate spending it out because of the excessive drinking all around you.

So it will either be here at home or with family.  I'll know more as it gets closer.

Maybe have requests only played for a couple of hours and a corresponding page on the forum to write dedications ? and kind of make the song fit the dedication , or visa -verse .

example - I would request Sugar Sugar by the Archies and dedicate it to
all the girls at freeze frame radio as they all seem so sweet ,
or -
I could request something by Jive Bunny and dedicate it to
Obama .

Not sure of my plans yet, either.

Well enough to know that if I threw a bunch of brite shiny objects on
a table there'd be a cat fight to see who got the one that sparkeld the most .
Women IS women .

Interesting theory... could be. Perhaps Dave entered the witness protection program and was reassigned the name "Lee".

Hey JR... this would be the perfect opportunity to have another FFR BBQ. Perhaps BBQ would not be so doable given everyone's weather situation, but the same principle... Drunken live radio show! laughing.gif That was a lot of fun.

I was just tellin' JD that I plan to grill out year-round, no breaks.

Just Monday I was out there grillin' up some chicken breasts.

It's my thumb in the eye of mother nature. She's no match for my propane grill!

LOL! Good for you. Last time I fired up the grill was Thanksgiving day... smoked ham. lick.gif Currently debating on whether I will do that with the Christmas ham too.

Yeah, technically no one here should have a grill either. It has to be 10 feet away from the building and my patio is six feet wide at the most with another patio (or porch?) hanging almost completely over it.

They seem to ignore that rule though because almost every apartment has a big grill out there.

We can only have propane though, no charcoal.

I've been itching to put something on the Traeger but when we've wanted to do that, the weather has NOT been cooperative at all.

Maybe New Year's Eve will be nice enough to do that.

We're getting 1/2 a beef sometime mid January. One of the ladies my wife works with are ranchers and they are wanting to process a beef, but with just the 2 of them they don't want the whole thing. We're going to take the other 1/2.
