Good day all.

It looks like I'll be driving this desk for half a day today.

Not a whole lot planned for tonight, but I don't know if I'll be able to make it in here.  We got invited over to a friend's house to watch movies, right after we proposed a board game night with some other friends.  We'll see which one pans out.  If we do a board game night, it might be at our house, so I'd put FFR on.

Hey y'all.

I have a funeral to go to in about an hour.

We have a couple steaks to warm up this evening. I may roll the Traeger out and cook them over some wood.

We will be staying home this evening. Mrs Web promised the boy that she would play PS3 with him tonight. I'm working on getting a difficult bass part down for a really neat song we're playing Sunday, so I may work on that a while tonight too.

The Huskers done good last night. I wish they would have played that good all season. hmm.gif

Happy New Year's Eve, all. I'm definitely in for tonight. Amateur night is definitely not for me. Presently it is 16* here, looking for a high of 20*, low of 6* tonight. Sounds like a great night to stay in.

I think my dinner for this evening will be barbacoa beef. lick.gif

Howdy, all!  Been busier than a one-eyed cat watching two mouse holes, so no playtime for me, but I think I see light at the end of the tunnel --  or maybe that's just my bad eye playing tricks on me...   I miss playtime  cry


Mr. DS and I (and Isaac) have the house to ourselves tonight (YAY!) --  Maranda went to Norman with some friends, and Jacob is staying at my step-daughters with the grandson (same age) --  extended family thing...

Well We are not IN for the night. I will be the safe driver and get us home safely. friends are going with us to a Cowboy bar here in town ( hot guys lol in tight jeans lol) I feel like doing some line Dancing.

Back from the funeral. Ugh. We were not real close to this guy, know his parents better. He and his dad are both ham radio guys. He was only 49, but has had a tough fight with diabetes for a long time. He was really into fantasy football so they draped his casket with an Arizona Cardinals blanket.

After the funeral, we drove through McDonalds (another ugh), and dropped Mrs McWeb and her McRib off at McWork, then we came back McHome to enjoy the McWonderful McSplendor of our lunch bounty.

I guess now would be a bad time to mention the article I read today about the beef fast food places use in their burgers...

In other somewhat related news (to Web's post, not the burgers), I found out today that one of my friends wants to become a mortician.

I've been all stuffed up the last couple weeks. I don't have a cold, I think its just the dry air.

We used to have one of those "Water Wheel" humidifiers but it got all nasty, and the little wheels quit turning half the time, etc so a couple years ago, we got rid of it at the end of a season. I just went down to the hardware store to look and see what they have. I came home with a new humidifier.

This is pretty cool. It has two water tanks, one on each side that pop off and can be taken over to the sink to be filled. That will be much better than using a pitcher to fill the box on that old thing. Its running now, bring on the moisture!

Yeah, besides beings absolutely PACKED I figured it would be the best of the best that society has to offer.

Oh sure, there will be the grandmothers trying to buy bread, but there will also be the over-pierced, purple haired high school drop-outs lining up for their booze.

Hi all!  I got up early and went to the store to re-stock some munchies for the kids and me.  Tonight's my last night of eating stuff I shouldn't be eating then tomorrow it's back to the diet plan. clap.gif 

I just finished playing an epic battle on Halo ODST in firefight mode.  That was fun!!biggrinbiggrin Just thought I'd check in and see who's around tonight.

I'm around for the night. I've yet to indulge in any adult bevies... spent my day cleaning the house and working on dinner. Dinner is now done, consumed, and largely cleaned up. Thinking before long it will be time to break out the booze. Didn't bother to buy the champagne this year. I'll stick with my good friend Jack. laughing.gif

I'm watchin' "Wild Hogs" on ABC. It's one of those movies that everytime I stumble across it I just have to watch it again.

After that I have a Netflix movie to watch, then the ball drop. What an exciting life I lead. hmm.gif

We have a couple neighbors over. I made homemade pizza, and soon we'll start in on the board games.

I also finished off a bottle of wine, Brian's going to start making martinis, and Noah's making black'n'tans. It is making it hard to type.

So I'm at least listening.

Seems my sense of taste is still a bit off. Tried a Lynchburg Lemonade and it was not agreeing with me. Dumped that and moved on to a Bacardi and Diet. We will see how I fare with that.
