Back here to say good morning and then go hang out with the Wii and Denise....


I was told yesterday that I need to develop a job description for the new position that I want and that the money I am asking for is available too! Yeah me! We are all still praying though, the VP acts scared to present the idea to the President, because along with the new position they are purchasing a new catalog called Acalog and it is expensive. BUT it is the coolest college catalog and it will be my baby. I am really excited about my new job and all the things that come with it. The deal is hey we need THIS catalog to recruit and retain students and we need someone else in the Registrar's office to help Ruby run it.... I am confident that the Pres will be sold on it. He has been a dear to me and I can't imagine him turning me down. Wish my luck!

I'll give the DSS update tomorrow I hope once we have our assessments results.

I'm doing... you expected me to say good, didn't you? Eh, I'm okay, a bit tired. And I've been having trouble swallowing one specific pill. It's cut in half and it's tiny, but I get a pain in my chest and throat for a few hours after I take it sometimes. I can usually take pills dry if I need to, usually ones larger than this one. Anyone else ever experienced anything like this?

Good morning all.  It's a dark, dreary day here....calling for freezing rain/drizzle this morning. 

As of yesterday, I am no longer employed.  Due to my dad's health and the uncertainty of when he may become more independent, I turned in a letter of resignation to my boss on Monday, effective immediately.  She had previously given me until the 18th of this month to return to work, however, the sub they have for me is leaving next week for greener pastures.  Since I still don't know when I can return to my job I felt it's better for all involved to just resign and let them find someone permanent to take my place.  This actually worked out good for me......you guys know I hated my job and didn't want to return to it when school started this past Fall....now I don't have to!  And my husband can't complain because he knows I have to take care of my dad, so it's a win-win situation all the way around for me. clap.gif  If I decide I want to work again sometime down the road I'll look for something else, but it's been nice the past month or so to not have to go to work every day.  I'm in no hurry to return to the rat race. smile

Um Mz, have you read the little brochure that came with this med?  Sometimes it will say if this is a normal thing or not with a medication.  If it continues, you might want to check with your doctor.

Second day I've woken up at 4:30am. Today my eyes simply just popped open. This pattern better stop or I will be even more cranky than I normally am- lol


Ghost- well that's one less thing to worry about I suppose. I remember you hated it there!

Mz- I've had problems taking a pill and it hurting for a bit after a bad swallow but not ever have if hurt later on

Mz, any chance it's heartburn?  I have a couple pills that I have to take with food or I get pain similar to what you're describing.  Not that I'm a doctor though, I just play one on TV...... :)

I think I'll try to wander away from my cave today.  I've been busy chasing my tail.  We had six jobs finishing all at the same time, and all t&m.  Still waiting on final charges to hopefully wrap things up.

Maybe I can play a bit. 

Ghost, good to hear you were able to get out of there, but sorry about the circumstances.  Hope your dad gets to feeling better.

The information doesn't say anything about heartburn or throat pain when taking it, and it says it can be taken with or without food. And it doesn't feel like heartburn, it feels higher up and different. And it doesn't happen every time I take it. I wonder if it's something about it being cut in half.

DS - has your billing closed for the year yet? Time to close the month, quarter and year?

My billing deparment should be closed by the end of the day. That means I can start part of my fun tomorrow. AP closes at the end of the day Friday, so more fun can be had come Monday for me.

Howdy.

More snow today. We got a call at 6:20am that school would be a 10:00am start. Then about 8:30, another call that school would be closed. The boy does not seem to be upset over this development.

So, right now, I'm in the home office (recliner) and getting very sleepy. Maybe if I just rest my eyes for a few min........

evileye  No!  I'm getting really uptight with people not turning in their costs.  I have six invoices hanging in limbo that really need a 12/31 date. 

Ughh... month and quarter end...   Payroll did manage to already mail out w-2's.
