I've been trying to figure how to hook up my computer to my stereo. I have them in two seperate rooms about 25 feet apart. My stereo has speakers through out the house and outside. I've wanted to hook up the computer but running wires was going to be more work than I wanted to do. Then a moment of genius hit. I have an iPod with the FM transmitter so I can listen in the car. The FM transmitter will plug into the headpone jack on my computer speakers. Tune the stereo to the frequency and wah lah FFR is literally in the house. No running wires under the house, nofuss, no muss.
I'm surprised the ipod transmitter was strong enough to send the signal that far. Next time I pull up to you in traffic I'll be tuning in to see what you're listening to
LOL!!!! i read your post Ray and just blinked. i think i will have to read it a couple of times before it sinks in.
My antenna fell off my car 3 weeks ago and i have not been able to get a replacement yet. (i really just need to get off my duff and go to either the junk yard or the dealer) instead i went to Autozone and spent 30 minutes looking at all the different replacement antenna's they had wires and plugs and magnets...
it was rather sad.... i think i might have blacked out for a while... i had drool on my chin when i left.
techno-woman i am not. but i think i should get a point or two for trying.
If you have an iPod you could do the same thing. It's rather easy. Replacing an antenna is not as difficult as it seems. Just take your time follow the instructions. If that doesn't work invite over some friends and have a Replacing the Antenna party. Some one should be able to figure it out.
thanks Ray, i think one of my friends is taking pity on me.... it really isnt' that hard it just screws on, (that's how it fell off) but i am the most untechnological people you will ever meet.
I don't have a cell phone.
I don't have an i-pod.
i don't have internet at home.
a couple of years ago i decided my boyfriend was watching too much TV so i unplugged it and told him that i had it shut off for the month. it took him almost the entire month to figure out i had just unscrewed the cables in the back.....
P. has been working nonstop for last couple of weeks, just got transferred at beginning of June and what litle time he has left has been assigned to yard work. We have been having nonstop picnics last couple of weeks... memorial day, celebrated 1 year in new house, fathers day, other side of the family picnic tomorrow. i am making potato salad tonight for the last time of the summer. i have already made 5 potato salads this summer, blah!
LOL!!!! then i will be left off the potato salad list. i always am asked to make potato salad. i think it is cause everyone else i know screws it up on purpose.
WEEK 4 AND STILL NO ANTENNA.... AND I HAD TO MAKE ANOTHER POTATOE SALAD THIS WEEKEND. #6.
AND I AM HAVING COMPANY NEXT WEEKEND. MY MOTHER IS COMING OVER AND I AM LETTING HER PICK THE MENU, SINCE SHE IS BRINGING FRIENDS.... ANY GUESSES ON WHETHER OR NOT SHE WILL ASK FOR POTATO SALAD?
man! there are better ways to spend the summer than making potato salad each weekend!
BUT! your recipie must be awesome MJ if all these people see you & think of your awesome potato salad!
share it with us???
Hey I have no cell phone either and crite almighty I do not need an IPOD either! NO ONE needs to be able to get a hold of me that easily AND I am still on the project I began in 1995- eventually replace all of my albums to cd. I am too far into it now to give up! Although I did get a record player last christmas and find the disc-spinning far more satisfying than the whole cd craze, which, I am finding, is sooooo 2002.....I am so behind the times!
And Sparky- your avatar is THE BEST. Sorry about that whole dead Sparky thing- what the h*ll was that about????
