Welcome Cowboy Fan

Hi Cowboy Fan.  Welcome to the neighborhood.  I would've missed that you joined if I hadn't just read Murscclub post on having a new member.  I hope when you feel ready you'll tell us a bit about yourself.  I also hope you'll enjoy your time here.  Welcome to the board! smile

Hey Cowboysfan,

Welcome aboard to the FFR forum. We've got a thread buried somewhere around here that tells a little about all of us. If I can dig it up I'll bump it to the top for you. It provides a quick way to kind of get to know us.

If you want to add your own info to it you're always welcome to do so. smile.gif

JR and I just played a couple games on Madden this afternoon. I used the Cowboys this time and did pretty well. The last one went into overtime but he edged me out with a field goal for the win.

He was keeping up with me pretty good though. Had the lead through the entire first half of the game.

I have a feeling he'll keep playing as the Cowboys for awhile if he keeps getting those kinds of results.

When it come to pro ball, I really don't have "my team". Now, my Huskers are a different story, but as far as pro goes, I just kind of go where the wind blows me. smile.gif

Well you embarrassed us the year before 41-6 and the last game of the season to,it was tough to watch. What do you think Philly should do with McNabb?

If you listen around here, many people have wanted him gone for a long time. I think he will be here next year. I just wish he could work out his inconsistencies. He has always thrown balls at the feet of his receivers. Now, there is a time and a place for ball placement. Regularly throwing them too low or too high doesn't work. He has a good awareness and use to run himself out of trouble. I wish he would do that again. I am not asking him to run every play or for 30 yards at a time. But if the play is broken, he has a way to make something positive happen. Even three yards can change the next play call. He has some offensive weapons now but our defense is what suffered and let us down late in the season. They had many guys hurt, so hopefully they will heal and recover and be ready for September.

Unless management gets a really good deal for McNabb, he isn't going anywhere. I think the backup has a lot to learn yet too. Granted, he probably needs the playing time in order to learn.

Romo had the same problem, instead of just taking off (he would never run)he would force a pass. After the second game of the season where he was just god awful he finally started to run or just take the sack.Cowboy fans had been calling for Romo's head, but i always look at things like this ok who are you going to replace him with,QB's are not a dime a dozen.

Romo and Austin had great years. Will Austin still be around? Witten always has a good year. I like to hate that guy. You know how it is. Have to dislike a guy that kills your team every year.

Will any big pieces of the team be resigning or leaving? All you guys have to do is get yourself a kicker. I can't believe how many field goals were missed that I saw. And I don't get to see too many Cowboy games.

Agreed. Even if you draft a qb this year, 90% of them won't be ready to play this season. They need a season or two to get acclimated.

I think your fans call for Romo's head the way Eagles fans call for McNabb's head.

Yeah. He had some playing time this year when McNabb was out. I think he is ready. He will become stronger and needs to play every day. I think he did well when he was starting.

Isn't it strange how kickers are,Folk was a pro bowler and then this season he couldn't  hit the ground with the ball, lol.Cowboys have to improve their OL,i thought they had a really good line but the vikings exposed them.
