A New Yorker faces a $135 traffic fine for using a mannequin as her "plus one" in the high-occupancy vehicle lane of the Long Island Expressway.
An alert sheriff's deputy on Long Island became suspicious this week when he saw the "passenger" wearing sunglasses and using the visor. The problem: The sky was overcast.
Phil Spector had a mannequin made of himself, and never let Ronnie drive off without it in the passenger seat. He is one messed up dude.

I bet it worked for quite a while. It just cracks me up that the police officer pulled the car over because the passenger was wearing sunglasses and using the visor on a cloudy day... I don't generally use the visor, but I wear sunglasses a lot when driving, even sometimes when it is not so bright out. Cuts the glare of oncoming headlights and the reflection off of snow and fog.

And here I thought you always wore them to hide your identity from adoring fans and paparazzi.

My eyes are extremely light sensitive and I often have sunglasses on when driving regardless of the weather. Sometimes an overcast day is worse for me.

And it's not unusual to just leave the visor down on the passenger's side.
You're even wearing them in your avatar!
