It is very good to be back.  I hated Paris.  I will never go there again.  Italy was beautiful and I enjoyed Athens.  We had an opportunity to cruise the Greek Islands.  WoW!!  But it is good to be back in the USA.  Italy was not to bad as far as communicating becasue you can at least decipher what what signs say.  Greece has such a wierd alphabet that you h ave no idea what is going on.

Ray:  I did go to the top of the Acropolis in Greece.  I picked up a souvenier stone.  Little did I know that there were greek police spying everywhere, not in uniform.  I was decended on and asked to empty my pockets.  I know I was repremanded, by the tone of the voices, but I have no idea what they told me.  I just smiled and said' no english, no greek, afrikaans only."

I don't know if you saw the movie My big Fat Greek Wedding.  Remember when he asks how to say--How do I say let's go inside and eat.  The response was Echo Tre Arhelia.  I said that to a cab driver in Greece.  He laughed his head off.  I told him I know longer needed to know if the translation on the movie was accurate.  He kept rolling down his window and telling all the other cabbies Americano tre Arhelia.


Will admit, that was funny.

I went to Germany a few years ago, loved it, and we came to the same agreement about the French.  Whoever loses the next big war gets France.
