Good morning everyone. I guess my youngest girl's snow dance worked....we got 10 inches right now on the ground with a little more to come yet this morning, and there is a 3 foot snow drift running the length of my driveway. My husband parked his truck down near the sidewalk so he wouldn't have to plow his way out before going into work this morning. All the schools are closed so my two girls are home, and when they wake up they can help me dig our way out today.
Good morning, all. I woke up early, which is fine because I need to be in the office early. Let the beat down begin!! I'm already gathering evidence to prove that yesterday's problem de jour was nothing more than one lone wackadoo having a Chicken Little moment. Can't believe I woke up at 5:15AM, logged into work, and started reviewing call processing statistics before I even had caffeine.
In addition to the massive snow event all over the eastern seaboard and up north, there was also a small earthquake outside of the Chicago area. Yup... how weird is that.

That which does not kill me postpones the inevitable.
We got enough snow to close the grade schools and make it uncomfortable to be out in, but not enough to close IU or give me an excuse to stay home. So here I am.
I'll have to email my friends in Chicago to see if they felt the earthquake.
My shoulder has been hurting the last couple days. It hurts a little all the time and more when I lift my arm. I can feel it grinding and popping around in there when I move it. I'm trying to decide if I should go see a chiropractor or not. I can't think of anything I did strange that would have caused it.
I'm really tired too. I'd like to go back to bed a while.
Greetings from the North Pole. We have at 16-20" I think, but it's hard to tell exactly because of the blizzard conditions we now have. Blizzard warnings are up 'till 7 pm. I got us shoveled out and then helped neighbors and used their snowblower to do some more. Really, these conditions seem more like something you guys in Wisconsin would have than us! Haven't lost power yet, so keep your fingers crossed. I do have wood for our fireplace if we lose it, but I haven't built a fire since we lived in Maryland 10 years ago!
Fuzzy's probably got it even worse, being closer to the developing coastal storm and having even stronger winds over there....
I just read the extended forecast for us, and there is a chance for another significant snowstorm on Monday.... Stop the madness!!! We're in that pattern right now, and until the pattern changes, we're prone to these storms here....
Jeez Mursclub, you guys REALLY like your winters out there!
MZ, supercool snowman! You could toast marshmallows by him.
Webguy, I hope all this shoulder business isn't my fault. You know, from all the clobbering's you've taken on the Madden grid-iron. I promise to cut back on the sacks. No more than 10 per game until you feel better.
The snow here was knee deep. I have only my trusty shovel... As of now, I have about 3/4 of the drive done. Taking a little break before I try and finish it before work tonight.
