I think we may need to make an emergency rescue of Mel. May as well bring the fishing tackle. I'm assuming that no pay for state employees means no game wardens on duty. Catch as many as you can carry! Mel, how big is your freezer? And do you have A LOT of corn meal?
We'll work out the rescue after we eat, and a nap.
I remember one time that happened with the Federal government. We were in 6th or 7th grade and we were on our field trip to Gettysburg, PA. Half of the things we were due to see we couldn't get into. What made it worse was the fact that this only lasted one day. The day we were there. D'oh!
