I started watching them the other night; saw Shaun White win the Gold in snowboarding and Lindsey Vonn win in skiing. The snowboarding looks like so much fun!! If I were 25 years younger I think that would be the sport I'd take up in the winter.
That's what I was saying. Skiing never appealed to me. Looks so dangerous, and frankly, un-fun. The half pipe was awesome. And I wouldn't mind hanging out with all those longhaired dudes, either! They were by far the best-looking athletes of the whole thing!

I prefer watching the Today Show and catching the highlights. I think I would like to do the luge course on a potato sack. That way I can go kindof fast in a nonthreatening kind of way. What can I say... I'm just wild and crazy that way.
But I did enjoy watching the women's downhill skiing. Some of the crashes are horrific though. I think it was the Swedish girl that had her ski's ripped off her feet when they snagged in a flag. I half expected to see her leg go flying off.
Mostly I avoid the Olympics though. Not tremendously interested in them.
Yeah... just watched the US Men's Curling team win against Sweden. Fortunately the Olympics will be over soon and I will quit watching that stuff. The snowboarding events are kind of cool. Wish I knew how to do that sort of thing, but I suspect it would scare me quite a lot.
I think I'm just watching the Olympics as to not watch the news.
