Thanks Star.

We've been floundering at the same number of listeners for a year now. I think it's time to start making this thing sell out!

I'm even checking into having my car covered on all four sides with big vinyl letters that advertise the station. I figure with all the driving around town I do now, almost 1000 miles a week, I should add several listeners a day doing that.

Then JD and I can take our "Meet The Listener" tour and add listeners from accross the country.

WOO HOO!

You know, I HAVE noticed though that our total listener hours have shot back into the 20,000+ a month range since we added the cable modem. I really think not having drops every day has kept people tuned in.

The time seems right to start trying to give the station some sort of an identity with JD & myself.

Hey MZ, BELIEVE me, I want to do the dial-up thing, that's a part of why we have to start selling out.

Right now, since we don't sell out, it just makes no financial sense to add another group of slots just for dial up. But once we start selling out then we'll need to expand our bandwith anyway, and thats where dial up gets it's shot!

I am waiting for Milwaukee's broadcast jazz station to finally switch formats sometime this month. This will start yet another roung of complaints from local jazz fans, and I want to have these fans tune in then to live local sunday night jazz programming at WFFR. Another local flyer campaign about to ensue!

Thanks for asking Mz- This should be a normal week for me with regular hours due to no OT because of the holiday. I will do my best to head over to the post office by friday. Work has been completely bonkers (and weasely), but now that qtr end is done, I am hoping things return to normal & I can do things like grocery shop & go to the post office!

I knew we'd see you, Riggs, I just didn't think you'd come in early.  Hey here's an idea to get more forum members.  Do you tell people that it's free?  They might think it costs something.  Just a thought!  By the way, how were the June numbers.  We need a copy of those here in the penthouse.  So we can go over a few things and discuss some changes (like how to permantly remove the counting thread).

Yeah, I really thought we'd do it yesterday.
