Time Change Saturday

I think I heard that we are to change our clocks again tonight. I'm all for spring coming, but this time change thing seems way too early now that it happens sooner.

We set out a roast to grill on the Traeger for supper tonight. This will be our first sampling of the 1/2 a beef we got. We figured it up and it worked out to be $2.11/lb, and that is everything from T-Bones to hamburger. Not a bad deal when you look at the prices in the grocery store.

I'm finally starting to get used to Windows 7. I didn't really like the task bar at first, but it's starting to grow on me now that I'm getting used to it.

Hope your Saturday is good!

Web, I couldn't disagree with you more. The time change should happen even earlier! In fact, I wish we'd just never give up the hour in the first place.

I can't wait until tomorrow night when it's actually light out until almost 7. clap.gif

Also, I don't like your hat! nana.gif

Not much planned for me today. Probably gonna grill out some burgers for lunch and spend most of the day cleaning up around here. Plus I have lots of laundry to do. If only I were rich enough to hire a maid. hmm.gif

Happy Saturday everyone!

Good day, all. I'm still not sure what I'm doing with this day. smile.gif

Need to go send a package to my sister, but first I need to find an appropriate box to mail it in. Need to do some laundry and house work. Need to call my mom. Need to go pick up a few things from the store. Want to just sleep.

I'm still getting used to the in's and out's of Windows 7 myself. Seems to be kind of okay. I have noticed that there are a lot of things that don't work with Windows 7 yet.

Right now its 45* and very cloudy with a good chance of rain, so I'm thinking grilling is out for me. Maybe I will go with the take & bake pizza I picked up at Costco yesterday.

I had a couple programs that had problems with Win7. One wouldn't install. I started over and installed it in XP compatible mode and then it worked. The other installed, but then wouldn't run. I found a patch at the vendor's site, and after running that, it was all good.

The only problem I know of right now is that the ability to record "wave out" (what is playing from the speakers) has been disabled in the sound card drivers. After some searching, it seems this is normal procedure now. hmm.gif

The roast is on the grill. We'll leave it on about an hour at 300 degrees, then we'll turn it down and smoke it slow for 2-3 more hours after that.

So far I've been semi-productive. I did in fact find a box and get my sister's stuff mailed off to her. Stopped at the mailbox on my way out and found my bonus check in there. w00t.gif Took that to the ATM for deposit. Stopped at the store and picked up a few things. Guess I should start some laundry.

Still doing that misting business outside.

I got the car filled up with gas and washed. It looks all shiny again. The boy and I threw the baseball around a little.

The Traeger is smokin' and making the neighborhood smell good.

Mrs Web is getting some groceries. I'll help her carry them in and then get on the elliptical for at least 30 minutes so I can count the day as exercised. smile.gif

Good day all.

Went to Indy to see my sister's best friend perform at the state dance competitions. They got first in regionals, and won state last year. But one of the girls that was holding her up at the very beginning moved too soon, and my sister's friend almost fell. She was so mad about that. But I think she did well otherwise, just hopefully the judges didn't see it.

I didn't stay for the awards, but they were supposed to text me to let me know how she did. The awards were supposed to be an hour and a half ago, but I haven't heard anything yet. I'm hoping no news is good news...
