A while back I mentioned that I was working on a Freeze-Frame soap opera of sorts.
It was gonna be old-style radio show in format, but be based on behind the scenes here at Freeze-Frame.
Well, as usual, other things have occupied my time and I've gotten nowhere. But today, inspiration struck! I don't need to write a script, you folks have already started the basis for a great story with the story threads we did last month.
The cool thing is, the vast majority of our listeners never visit the forum, so the story line will be new to them, and we can push the forum by telling them they have the opportunity to shape the story.
So for now, we DO NOT NEED any additonal story lines. I'm going to work on one of the ones we already did, and when we're caught up we will start a new thread which will close down every time we have enough for another 3 or 4 minute installment.
IF ANYONE ON THE FORUM HAS THE ABILITY TO PRODUCE WAV OR MP3 FILES OF THEMSELVES USING A MIRCROPHONE and you are interested in doing a few of the characters let me know.
We could email you the lines and their context and then you could record them and return them to us.
The KEY here is to HAM IT UP!
I know Wefter is good at voices, but I don't know if he's got the capability to produce the sound files. I know DoveTails can do anything on a computer, but I don't know if he has a voice.
Count me in, I am pretty good with accents. I had many people fooled in Greece and Italy, pretending I was a native and visiting with tourists. My wife gets really embarassed when I do that, especially here in the states. Just let me know what I need to buy and I will get it.
I have a poor micrphone at home and can give it a shot. Send me the script and we'll see what's what. If you want to see me live, I'm doing a one night comedy/murder mystery on July 30th down here in Mt. Prospect, IL. The tickets are expensive, fair warning.
I have a very nice microphone and mixer that will allow me to make very clear, noise-free recordings. Unfortunately, I have a voice for print, not radio. I edit our church sermon recordings and add my own intro, etc for putting them on our church website, but no, I don't really have "a voice".

I've done just about everything except Shakespeare and pantomime, absolutely love improv. It would make it much easier and more to the point if JR would let me know what he's looking for.
Maybe I'll just go into a tyraid of cartoon voices.
