Morning. We are finally going to get to see the sun around here for the first time in at least six days. And I am not so sure it was seen much a couple of days before that. Some nice Spring temperatures are supposed to be hanging around this week.
In addition, this serves as a test post of a new thread.

Thanks Fuzzy! I tried to start it, but I kept getting a message that my post only contained 2 characters and that it had to be longer. I had that problem last week too. Weird.
At any rate, the phone's been ringing off the hook, as has been email (well, you get the picture). In good news, Brian's got some good job prospects. One's only temporary, but it's in his field.
Good morning all. The sun is shining and we're supposed to hit 61* today. I noticed that all the buds on the trees have been getting plumper the past few days and they now have a hint of green on the tips. Goodbye winter, hello spring!
Oh, I forgot to add: I have to take my youngest daughter to the dentist today. She broke off part of a molar on Friday at school, then Friday night the filling fell out of the tooth. The dentist quoted me a price of $1040.00 for a crown.....I'll have to pay $800.00 as part of our co-pay. If I have them pull the tooth it's only $100.00. Not sure which way we'll go yet. The broken tooth is the very last molar on the top right of her mouth. $800 is a whole lot of money that I don't have right now.

No problem Mz. I am not good for too much. Once in a while I come in handy.
Now, if I could just figure out why a tag gets applied to a thread I start, we'll be doing better. I never asked for anything special, so I don't know why it appears.

Hm, I don't see any tag other than the little symbol that's at the end of every...
Aha! I get it!
That tag is so you can label your post with a category if you want to. I see it at the end of every subject because I'm a moderator. I'm assuming you only see it at the end of your posts because you can only tag ones you've started. Try it, click the tag and type in Daily Thread.
I'm working on an old computer this morning. My OLD 1.2 ghz computer that I run in the basement as file storage and music player for bass practice needed to be reformatted.
I reinstalled Windows, but it then would not boot. I tried installing Linux and it also wouldn't boot. I have another old computer here at the office. I'm combining the best parts of both to see if I can get one that will run. Its installing Windows XP now. Hopefully it will work.
It booted into Windows to finish the install. Yay!
Now, it's says it's got 35 minutes left of installation. Then, since this is a Service pack 2, it has to install ALL those updates. I expect that to take a good, long time.
Good day, all. Its been a busy one here at Camp Happy this morning, but that is good in many ways. Been here for a couple hours now, just getting around to being at my desk so I can say "HI!"
Ghost... bummer on the dental bill. That's a tough call.
Web
Hope we are all having a good day!

Just checking in. Took Jacob for his drivers license this morning. Be afraid, be very afraid... It's been a needy day in the office so far. I'm not in the mood...
Smiles Everyone! Smiles!

Sandy, it's a tough call on the teet because of the cost. I've had two pulled rather than pay the big fees. Since they were both back ones I didn't really care. But still, i don't want to lose too many more.
Now that I work at Marquette my insurance allows me to have dental work done anywhere with a typical co-pay OR I can go to the Marquette Dental School and have the students do the work 100% free. Problem is I have a real phobia about letting some kids learn while they work on my mouth, so I don't know if I'll ever take advantage of it. I have two teeth right now that could use some work, so I'm trying to decide what I want to do before they become a problem.
On another note, weatherman says our nice stretch of weather will come to a screeching halt on Saturday when cold weather and possibly even snow return. So I think I better get the grill going again today!
Making progress. Service pack 3 and all the critical updates are installed. Now, doing the recommended and optional hardware updates. I should have a working system yet today.
It's just been one of those days. For example, I rushed to get a shipment billed, packed, labels printed, and the credit card charged before the UPS guy came. The UPS guy came early, and I missed him because I was running the credit card.
Oh, and that lady I was complaining about yesterday... Yep, she's called already today to see if it was done. End of the day means end of the day, come at 4:30 like we discussed last week, Friday, AND yesterday.
One round of updates just adds more things that then needs to be updated. Why don't they just supply the updated version rather than the original version that then needs yet another update.?.?.?
I should be getting close though. The downloads are getting smaller and smaller every time I update and reboot.

The job's done 15 minutes early. Think I should call her and tell her we got it done early?
