It was a bit nicer today. Yesterday we had snow, rain, and a 20 degree drop in temps from Friday.

I spent the day playing a new game on the Xbox and getting my butt whipped good.

And I also went to the grocery store and spent more than I planned. Seems like the price of food just keeps going up and up.

The guy cashier was joking and said my total was $2,014.00 (instead of $214.00) and I said it probably won't be much longer and that IS what groceries will be.

It still makes me sad to know that FFR will be coming to an end in a few weeks. I'm really going to miss JD's shows. cry

I just got back from a super stretched out long day of junk car shopping. We drove almost 70 miles, with a trailer to pick up '61 Olds, for parts. Piece of junk. It even had a bucket of dead mice in it!! Just floating. Nests in every place they could put one. Yuk.
$50.00 for gas and 6 hours later, I'm home.
Sorry I missed the 80s. I will have to review Sandy's comments on the "now playing"

Bummer about all the mice! bleh

Quite some time ago my brother had to store his Mustang when he got shipped off to Sicily for a year. When he got back stateside, his car was ruined from the mice. Cost him a small fortune to get everything repaired/replaced in his car.

Geez... tell me about the price of groceries! I was at Costco on Saturday... walked out of there with $230 less in my bank account and the only thing in the way of groceries was some diet citrus iced tea and some hamburger. Granted I did buy several non-grocery related items... which led to today's trip and another $150 less which was all grocery.

Got my back side handed to me by my kid in Iraq for about 2 hours over my level of fat. That is the LAST time I will whine to him about my clothing sizes... should never have told him about that last shopping spree. Anyhow, effective Monday I'm on a diet and exercise regime. Somebody doesn't want to come home to a fat momma... but I'm not saying WHO.

Thanks! More or less, my plan of the moment is to go toward the low carb eating plan. It worked well for me before, I just got away from it for way too long. I'm making a small adjustment from what I was doing before... at the request of my son... he wants me to be sure to include "essential fatty acids" in my regime. His suggestion is a tablespoon full of extra virgin olive oil in the morning. I tried that this morning and it made me wretch. I'm thinking I might have to go with something in gel cap form.

I may modify this after a few weeks. I've also done the Abs Diet with some success too, and it is a little more generous in the variety of what one can eat.
