Morning all. It would be that day: tax deadline day. I hope everyone has already mailed their returns. I am off to assemble and mail a few more for work. Then I must get to the month and quarter end work that I haven't really touched yet. And some of it is due Tuesday, which means it all has to be completed, approved and filed by 5pm Monday. Why do I see my off day tomorrow starting to evaporate?
The weather is supposed to be nice and sunny today.

Fuzzy, take tomorrow off. If you don't make the deadline on Monday, tough. That's an internal deadline, right? April should have an exception. You need the day off.
Good day, all. Yes, I got my taxes filed already. YAY me for not waiting until the last minute. Happily it is WFH day again. . I can't lounge around in the jammies today though as am having lunch at Miah's school for Grandparents Day. That should be fun.
Fuzzy, you should definitely take tomorrow off. It should be automatic for everybody who ends up doing taxes for a living.

Hi all. Weatherman says it will be 84 here today.....not bad for April. I think I'm going to wash the windows in the house.....I noticed with the sun shining through them they're pretty grimy from the winter.
Fuzzy, I'm with Mz and Mema about your day off tomorrow.....take it off. You've worked extremely hard this week and are probably in dire need of a day to yourself!

And no. SUT payments are due in the 20th of the month. If I am late with all these I might be shot and most definitely fired. I remit over $2m in sales and use taxes every month. They are done by EFT so the 5pm deadline on the 19th is firm. If I don't make it, the states don't hit the bank account for the money on the 20th. I am usually not this close to the deadline. By now, everything would have been finished and I would file everything tomorrow and I would be done. At least with most of the quarter stuff I have until the 30th.

Aw man. How about this, on the 21st, come to Bloomington, and I'll take you around to all the wineries in Southern Indiana. The "Upland Wine Trail" has 9 wineries on the list, and they all have free tastings. That should get us sufficiently snockered.
Mz - yours would be one state where I don't have to file any sales tax. But my personal property returns for IN are due 5/15. You know I haven't even thought about completing those yet.

Okay, we are making good progress. I think maybe I will stop and have lunch today. We'll make the decision in a few minutes. I am awaiting a review of two files by the boss. After that we should be able to assess what the afternoon will look like and how soon we will be able to go home.

No homework that isn't assigned by my benevolent corporate overlord (LOL!). I just got sucked into the grandparent trap that is "book fair". $12 later, we walked out with some sort of notebook/organizer thing that came with a bracelet and a bendy pencil.
