Got Game?

CP is really into golf, I like it and like racket ball too. Who out there has a sport that they like to participate in/ a team they belong too? What sport? Ever win a competition/trophy in it? What about the sport do you enjoy the most?

Doea exercise count? I am into aerobics, biking and rollerblading. I have become very health conscience the last few years. I have to be to keep up with a 2 and a 13 year old! I was a cheerleader when I was younger too.

sure that counts!

I admire the roller-blading, I can't do it! I need to keep my feet on the ground. Anything with wheels or blades beneath my feet = wipeout! But it looks like fun.

I am a soccer, basketball, and softball girl. But I have been involved in many non-organized sports - darts, street hockey, flag football, lacrosse (but only a little), rollerblading (not very well) and golf (not very well either).

I am game for almost anything. I just like to play. For the most part, it keeps me outdoors and I enjoy being there. The natural competitve side sneaks out of me quite often. But I am willing to try new things. I grew up playing so it is just a part of me.

aw I fought for many years as a kid to get up on skis, many wipe-outs. Turned out we were just using really crappy skis. One of my cousins invested in a good pair, and I could not believe how easy it was. Same with 1 ski- if it cuts through the water and holds your ankle in place, its easier than walking (not on water, but land....)

I love water sports, we sold our boat last year due to low levels in the water. We also had jet skis. Water skiing is hard but fun!

I used to play basketball before my knee got bad. Roller blading, and do alot of hiking!

Golf and biking for me. I don't do either as often as I'd like to. I used to play softball, pole vaulted in high school and ran a little track. I've got hip that 's going to have to be replaced in a few years. Doc said swimming, and biking are ok. Golf, if I ride a cart. He said no running so that rules out a lot. I'd like to play soccer since my daughter has been involved I've learn to enjoy it but that would only mean surgery sooner.

I hear you on the knees, sparky. The knees are notoriously bad in my family- I've got probably a couple more good years of raquetball before I give it up for....nintendo racketball?

I'm with Ray in that there are many things I like to do but don't do as much as I'd like.  Some of them are fishing, shooting pool, and biking.  Because of my family I have been pretty active at the health club, climbing walls, and light hiking.

One thing I still love to do, but rarely do is go dancing!

I really don't participate in any organized sports, but I agree with Wef, I love dancing!  The problem is, my husband doesn't, so it usually ends up with me going to the local gay bar and doing some freestyle dancing.

JD is right.   I do have a passion for golf.  I also enjoy water sports.  Star--can't remember if I told you I went to school/surf in Hawaii in my college days.  Surfing is awesome.  It can also be very scary when you overestimate your ability against the waves, which I did from time to time.  The last time I went was a Pipeline Beach on the North Shore of Oahu.  Waves were breaking between 10-15 feet.  Totally tubular.  Forgive the pun.  Had one of the worst wipe outs ever.  I had a very difficult time getting my timing back and remember thinking that was it, I was going to drown.  (I violated the most basic rule)  As soon as I gave up fighting the waves, I just popped back to the surface and collapsed on the beach for a time.

Waterskiing is awesome--also love snow skiing.

I was big on the cross-country skiing for awhile, but always steered clear of the down-hill. I knew I would be like the agony of defeat guy. Its one thing on water, but another thing on snow & ice!
