I am with you on the peas and creamed carrots. I do not care for brussel sprouts either. Oh and my dad tried to pass liver off on me as roast beef- did not work! I am a cool mom too, I never make my kids eat what they do not want to. I used to eat my peas like you take medicine, I'd take a huge spoonful and swallow them whole while drinking a glass of water. I hated that about my parents.

Head cheese, grossest stuff in the world! You can see the pig parts floating in the geletin. Feta cheese is good, but gross when you see it in the deli. It floats in all that cloudy water. And have you ever seen a real flounder? Kind of gross, but more weird. Both eyes are on one side of its head.

this might be odd tho- I like peapods- like in stirfry, but yea peas themselves- I used to picture them as tiny brains I was mushing in my mouth.

I think one of the only things that grosses me out is herring. The thought of that at every family function is too much.

Ruby, I had the old switcheroo as a kid too... my aunt told me my liverwurst sandwich was baloney. she didn't think it was too funny when i puked all over her bathroom. so gross.

Liver would keep me hiding in the basement, even the smell makes me gag.

i am a picky eater, my friends all pick on me. But i know worse people... people that won't eat anything green or only eat 2 or 3 foods.

When i was living in Scotland i did see something really gross. (actually i saw lots of strange foods, but this was the worst) it was a cheeseburger from a fish and chip shop. this place took 2 hamburger patties, put a piece of cheese in the middle, then dipped it in the batter and deep fried it.

i felt my heart constricting at the artery clogging grease that was flowing out of this thing.

at an old job I had we got cans of sardines. one guy LOVED them and me and another guy would just think THAT IS SOOOO SICK. But on a dare, we each tried one. They are still sick, but for awhile we would have sardine and saltine snacks. You can get them in hotsauce or mustard even, if you are so inclined. Raw fish marinating in a tin of mustard! SICK!!!! think I will pick me up a can, its been awhile!!!

I've never tried it, but the grossest sounding food is Lutfisk. It's dried fish softened by being soaked in lye.

Trish had some good ones from when she was in germany too- like pig ears in a jello mold with little candies and prizes in it too! SICK!!!!

My wife, being from South Africa, and my kids like something called Marmite. It is a little stronger than Vegemite. It smells like rotten beer. It is a yeast spreading, black in color and oh, the smell. I always made my wife brush her teeth after she ate a marmite sandwich.
