Aol now has a feature that you can set up to track your favorite websites, and then it creates a list of links for you that you can select- its called aol routine. which got me to thinking- what is your usual daily internet routine?
For me, first thing in the morning is to get my live 365 player up and running to freezeframe. gotta have the music first. I check the number of listeners and stats that we have available when I log in.
I then check my e-mails or send any that I need to. I then go to the online bank statement to make sure it all jibes, which checks cleared etc.
I then check out the freeze frame forum, see whats up here.
I then check out our local newspaper www.jsonline.com and then www.cnn.com for national news. Somewhere in here I will check weatherbug to compare it to the weatherforcast that aol provides and that of the local paper.
I am with you JD. I turn on my computer and launch 365--then at least open the ffr website. I may not reply yet, but glance thru the topics, then I listen for messages on my office answering machine, then the cell phone, then log into the business website--making notes as I go on who I do and don't want to call back. Then I start my job by logging onto the Wal-Mart database systems. A little later I will check personal email on aol, then my old company email. Do some work post on FFR, then around lunch I usually go to the pool and swim a mile while my kids play in the shallow end. Back to work. My gosh my life is kind of boring.
the onion is GREAT! thats what I read on wednesdays when I go sit by the ducks. Anchower is good (Hola Amigos my buddy Wes got pinched for weed!) Been awhile since Smoove B or Kornfeld have been around. And Lloyd Shummner for the horroscopes kills me. BRILLIANT.

During the week I wait until I get to work to log on. Then I do this triple click thing, where I open Outlook, Explorer, and Radio365. And Weather.com's update pops up automatically. I hit play on the Radio365 player and minimize it. I take a look at the weather, then close it so I just see the temp for the rest of the day. Then I look over my emails and respond to the easy ones. Then I look at the FFR forum and respond to the threads, put in a couple requests, and keep the now playing page up. I take a look at the news from Yahoo.com, check and make sure our company's website is up and looking okay, then I usually go back and answer my emails and get on with my work day.
At home, I open Outlook and Explorer, read and answer emails, hop over to the forum, and then continue on with my surfing. Now that I can tune in from home, I usually open Radio365 while I'm on the forum, but if I plan to do some heavy surfing, I wait a little while.
TV is worthless in the summer Dave. Unless you can get into "Big Brother Fear Factor on Survivor Island: Hawaii"
I gotta turn in that cable box. I'm wasting $85 a month on a paper-weight. Every night is spent on the computer, or watching a movie, or playing poker, or doing something outside. What's the point of paying for cable until Football comes back?
Oh how similar we all sound. I turn on my compter, log into internet explorer, turn on live365, request my two songs, then I check my soap opera updates, then I log into stuff for work.. word, excel, and our database, then I check my personal email, than I check my work email, then I go to FFR to check out the threads, from there I go to CNN.com, my bank, and I have an addiction to freebies, so I catch up on those sites and order what I can.
Then I try to work?!? I am dizzy thinking about it and I am glad that my boss is not a forum member! Sorry Riggs!
My day begins mindlessly. Turn on the computer, login, wait for everything to load. Then I pop open Outlook, Excel and our company software. I curse at all the work e-mail that has been sent to me. Then I roll over to read my personal e-mail. After that I bring up live365 and the forum. After I catch up on everything I am off to do real work. I don't know how that always gets in the way.
