Brian has a job interview today. It's for a security company. I think he would be really good at it, but I hope that the fact he has long hair doesn't influence their decision. I think it would be a job he would like, not just taking a job to have a job.
A friend of ours was on HLN's Joy Behar show last night. They did a story on the National Day of Prayer issue and she somehow got selected to represent the "for" side. She did a great job. I don't know much about Joy Behar, but after a while of listening to her talk about how crazy Glenn Beck is, I couldn't help but think about a pot and a kettle.
I wonder if I'm getting sick. I have a sore throat and I have an overall punky and tired feeling. I sneezed a lot yesterday too.
Go Brian! (I wonder if his interview is with us. )
I can't remember the name of the company. What's the name of your company? If it's the same one, should he name drop, or avoid your name like the plague? ;)
They won't know me out there. That happens when you work in corporate tax, not many people know who you are or that you exist (which is perfectly okay by me). If he needs any background info, I would be glad to help him out.

Good Morning everyone! Good Luck Brian! I think today is going to be a great day, I slept well last night, the birds were chirping this morning and the sun is out! We have a wholesaler (free) lunch today and a financial risk management symposium tonight at Mt. Rushmore so here we go!

Good day, all. Just another lovely day here in paradise. I crack me up! Actually saw a bit of sun on the drive in this morning. That was nice.
Got myself back to the gym last night after the trainwreck that was last week. Did pretty good. AND I'm pleased to report that despite the 2 nights of pizza dinners and the cupcake for Marley's b-day I still managed to lose a pound. Back at it with a vengence this week!
Good luck to Brian! Job hunting is never fun. Don't know that having long hair is a no-no in the security world. We have a few longish haired, male security guards. Guess it depends on the employer.
Hope your day does turn out great, Sparky.
Web, you nailed it. Definitely pot vs kettle.
DS... best wishes with the needy one.
Fuzzy... thought of you this morning on my drive in. Parliament was on the radio. It was a funktastic drive.

Nope, it's not with your company Fuzzy. The interview was with Guardsmark, and apparently they were doing interviews for the whole region. But they said if they're interested, they'll call by 3 today.
He wasn't looking into security job postings before (I'm not sure why not, he'd be good at it, and he did do security in the Navy), but I think he's opening up his horizons a little bit. He's getting really down that he hasn't found a job yet.
It was just a thought for him. Maybe he will see something he can do while searching for another position. You will find our officers everywhere and anywhere - office buildings, universities, banks, malls, government facilities, etc. They do look heavily upon prior experience and training including military and police.

MZ, I haven't forgotten about your song request. I've got all my computers broken up right now and haven't got access to the songs until I put everything back in some order. I hope to have that done by the end of the weekend.
Also, I hope Brian gets good news on the job.
Not much to report here. Just another day in paradise. It's nice and sunny out, a little cool but I like it that way.
Seems like a perfect day for grillin'!!!
Oh, I did wake up to the news that Brewer broadcast Bob Eucker is having heart surgery on Friday. Sure hope he pulls through. He's been the voice of the Brewers my entire life.
