Good Products/ Bad Products

Hey!

What are some products that you stand by as quality products worth the price, and what products are absolute garbage???? Go ahead and name brand bash!

A real bad product is this light the bag charcoal- I think Kingsford makes it. It takes a really long time to get going, and by the time the flames die down, the charcoal is dead.  a horrific product!! 1/2 the time the bag does not even light!!!

Oh- and don't even bother with muffler patch. I have NEVER had luck with that- it wasn't worth the effort, and at best it lasted a week!

I have tried so many hair removal products, and most of them suck!  Nads rips AT the hairs, but not OUT the hairs, Epil-Stop does epilsolutely nothing.  Waxing is good, but a little painful, a little more expensive, and you have to wait until you're really hair to do it again.  (And whatever you do, don't try to wax yourself at home!)  So far, the best product that I've tried is the good ol' Venus razor.  I've tried the other brands newest razors, but the Venus beats them all by far!

Extra gum is awesome- extra blue is my favorite.

Also, if you have a teenager or lingering acne... Proactiv really works. Ask my 13 year old! It is expensive, but totally worth every penny. I use it too! It really lasts along time too. It has kept his hormones in check, at least on his face!

I'm not really impressed with the Starkist Lunch to Go.  It's tuna, mayo, relish, crackers, and a mint in this little plastic container designed for one lunch.  OK, so I just had it for breakfast, but same principle.  This is my first experience with tuna in the pouch as well.  So I'm sitting in my office, trying to get the tuna out of the pouch without making a mess, then I'm trying to stir all the ingredients together in this little plastic container with a flimsy plastic spoon.  And they only give you 6 crackers!  It would be easier to mix the tuna salad up at home and bring a box of crackers, and the whole thing would be about the same price.

For the guys, Gillette razors all the way.  I have a corse beard and they're the only ones that give me multiple shaves out of one cartridge.  Schick absolutely stinks.  Dull and uncomfortable.

Use original Listerine!  It's painful, but it works.  Generic brands just don't do it, they don't get your gums clean.  It's a hard habit to get into, but it's worth it.

I started using the new Pantene Restoratives line of products and my hair is completely transformed. My hair was splitting real bad and when I got my hair cut this weekend, my stylist could even tell a huge difference. My hair is so long and hard to keep healthy, but this works!

Oh and I love the magic eraser!

bad product- any and all of these glorified lighters for grills- the disposable ones. Absolute crap. I believe they have less fluid in them than cigarette lighters. I'm goin back to old fashioned wood matches. work just as well, much cheaper too.

do yourself a favor and get a BIG HONKIN pizza cutter like the pizzarias have. These little plastic and aluminum things from the grocery store are garbage and  a messy waste of time!

You don't mean one of those huge 16" rounded blades do you JD?

I always wondered where you could buy one of those.

nah, just a bigger blade than the tiny ones, with a wood handle- 6 inch blade as opposed to four.

I made pizza tonight- first time in a long time when I realized I had grabbed my cheap cutter. tossed the sucker out when i remembered I had this big old gonzo one in the drawer!

Bad:

Radiator repair for your car. That stuff just ends up running around in your motor gunking everything but your radiator! Try pepper, it doesn't desolve and will plug small leaks. (is this car talk? oh moy gawd)

Good:

Name brand booze.

Avoid anything that uses names like, Old Thompson anything Five Star. Knock off versions of Irish Cream usually fail.

Have a nice Thursday.

Demo Derby @ 7pm, Waukesha Co Fair!!

I have been meaning to post about a new mineral foundation- Revlon Mineral Makeup with color stay. I still use Bare Minerals Mineral Veil for a final touch, but the Revlon stuff rocks! It stays on well, does not make my face oilier or clog my pores and it goes on great. The package stinks, so I use my old bare mineral container to dump the powder on, but the brush they included works nice. It was about 13 bucks at Wallyworld. HIGHLY recommend it!

Funny you say that I thought of him when I bought it. I did not realize he sold his shares!

Bunnyman... you are correct, sir! I could not agree more... if you are going to drink, spend some money and drink the good stuff.
